Job Summary

The Vice President, Operations - Fiberglass & Auto Covers provides strategic and operational leadership for Latham Pool Products' Fiberglass and Automatic Cover manufacturing businesses across North America. This executive is responsible for delivering world-class performance in safety, quality, customer service, cost, productivity, capacity utilization, talent development and financial performance. The role partners closely with executive leadership to develop and execute long-term operational strategies that support sustainable growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. 

Some of What You Will Do:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all Fiberglass and Auto Cover manufacturing facilities, ensuring alignment with company objectives and growth plans.
  • Lead Plant Managers and operations leadership teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory, labor, and profitability targets.
  • Develop and execute multi-year operational strategies utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and operational excellence principles.
  • Establish and maintain a world-class culture focused on safety, employee engagement, accountability, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing organization by fostering a culture of empowerment, accountability, engagement, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Own operational P&L performance, including OPEX, labor productivity, inventory optimization, and CAPEX planning and execution.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, Quality, Customer Service, HR, EHS, and IT to strengthen enterprise performance and operational scalability.
  • Drive improvements in manufacturing efficiency, throughput, material utilization, cost management, and capacity planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, safety, and company requirements.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives within Operations including implementation of systems, reporting tools, and operational technologies.
  • Monitor and drive performance through KPI management systems and operational reviews.
  • Lead manufacturing due diligence, integration, and operational execution for acquisitions and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the COO and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Partner with Human Resources to develop and execute talent and organizational strategies, including succession planning, leadership development, organizational design, and workforce planning, to build the capabilities and leadership pipeline required to support business growth.

What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including executive-level responsibility for multi-site operations.
  • Experience within consumer durables, industrial manufacturing, building products, advanced materials, composites, specialty manufacturing, or related industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex operations with responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing large operating and capital budgets.
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, and change management methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, strategic planning, and organizational development capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead high-performing teams across geographically dispersed locations.
  • Demonstrated success building high-performing leadership teams
  • Proven experience driving employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and culture transformation.

Salary Range: $225,000 - $255,000 

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets.  Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.

Bonus:  MIB – Tier 1 – 36% of base pay
