Overview

The Vice President of Technology serves as Castle Group's senior technology leader and strategic advisor to the Executive Team. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the organization's technology vision, ensuring technology investments, cybersecurity initiatives, enterprise systems, data strategies, and digital transformation efforts align with business objectives and support the company's continued growth.

The Vice President of Technology partners with executive leadership to identify opportunities where technology can improve operational efficiency, reduce risk, enhance the client experience, strengthen cybersecurity posture, and create scalable solutions that support the company's long-term strategic goals.

As a trusted advisor, this leader provides insight and recommendations regarding emerging technologies, enterprise risk, technology investments, business continuity, artificial intelligence, automation, and organizational scalability.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a multi-year technology strategy that aligns with Castle Group's business objectives, growth plans, and operational priorities while serving as the primary technology advisor to the Executive Team.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation, advanced analytics, and digital transformation initiatives, to improve operational efficiency, enhance decision-making, and support organizational growth.
  • Lead the organization's cybersecurity program by establishing governance frameworks, security standards, policies, risk management strategies, and controls that protect company assets, systems, and data.
  • Assess and communicate technology and cybersecurity risks to executive leadership while ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies, business continuity plans, disaster recovery capabilities, and incident response procedures are maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, contractual, and industry requirements related to technology, cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection.
  • Provide strategic oversight of enterprise systems, infrastructure, cloud platforms, telecommunications, business applications, and technology services, ensuring solutions remain secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs.
  • Lead the evaluation, implementation, optimization, and integration of enterprise technologies while promoting effective use of technology and data to support informed decision-making and operational excellence.
  • Establish and monitor technology performance metrics, service standards, and key performance indicators that support accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional user experiences.
  • Develop and manage the technology budget, evaluate technology investments, and oversee vendor and partner relationships to ensure optimal service, performance, value, and resource allocation.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing technology organization by fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare and present technology strategies, business cases, investment recommendations, operational metrics, cybersecurity updates, and organizational risk assessments to executive leadership in a clear and business-focused manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directlyand indirectlyoversee all IT team and technology service providers
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Castle’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and mentoring employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in information technology, including responsibility for complex IT environments, infrastructure, enterprise systems, and technology teams.
  • Experience leading enterprise technology initiatives, including cybersecurity, cloud technologies, digital transformation, and large-scale system implementations.
  • Proven experience developing and executing technology roadmaps, strategic plans, budgets, and technology investment strategies that support organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior leadership to translate business needs into technology solutions and drive organizational results.
  • Experience evaluating, implementing, and governing artificial intelligence solutions, including Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled technologies, to improve productivity, automate workflows, support decision-making, and drive business value.
  • Experience presenting technology strategies, business cases, and recommendations to executive leadership and influencing organizational decision-making.
