Job description

Executive Summary
The VP of Business Operations will serve as the General Manager for our Semiconductor Test Socket and Thermal Solutions Business Unit. This is a "Technical-to-Market" leadership role. You will be responsible for the strategic alignment of our high-performance socket/thermal design teams with our global manufacturing footprint and sales force. With full P&L responsibility and dedicated financial support, you will drive the strategy to achieve aggressive financial performance while maintaining our position as a leader in semiconductor test hardware.
Core Responsibilities
  1. Technical & Engineering Strategy (The Solution)
  • Product Lifecycle Leadership: Oversee the Engineering roadmap for high-frequency test sockets and advanced thermal control systems (ATC).
  • Innovation Alignment: Ensure Engineering resources are prioritized for high-growth segments (e.g., AI/HPC, Automotive, or 5G/6G) where thermal challenges are most acute.
  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Bridge the gap between Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure complex custom designs can be produced at scale with high yields.
  1. Sales & Market Execution (The Revenue)
  • Global GTM Strategy: Lead the sales organization in securing "Design Wins" with major IDMs, OSATs, and Fabless customers.
  • Customer Interfacing: Act as the executive sponsor for Tier-1 accounts, ensuring our thermal solutions meet their evolving roadmap requirements.
  • Forecasting: Navigate the cyclical nature of the semiconductor industry by aligning sales forecasts with production capacity.
  1. Manufacturing & Operations (The Engine)
  • Supply Chain & Production: Oversee the manufacturing of precision-machined components and thermal assemblies, ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operational Efficiency: Optimize the cost of goods sold (COGS) by improving fabrication yields and streamlining the global supply chain.
  • Quality & Reliability: Ensure all products meet the stringent reliability standards required for high-volume semiconductor testing.
  1. Financial Performance & P&L Leadership
  • Strategy-to-Numbers: Take full ownership of the BU's Profit and Loss statement, converting strategic vision into measurable EBITDA growth.
  • Capital Allocation: Partner with the Finance team to decide on CapEx investments for new manufacturing tech vs. OpEx for R&D.
  • Pricing Strategy: Own the value-based pricing strategy for custom-engineered solutions to protect and expand gross margins.

Candidate Profile
  • Industry Expert: 15+ years of experience in the Semiconductor Test or Thermal Management space. You understand the nuances of pogo pins, elastomers, and active thermal control.
  • Strategic Integrator: Proven ability to manage a P&L while balancing the conflicting pressures of rapid R&D and manufacturing cost-containment.
  • Executive Presence: Ability to engage technically with a Lead Architect and strategically with a CFO or Board Member.
  • Education: Minimum BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; MBA or equivalent financial leadership experience highly preferred.

The BU Environment
This Business Unit operates at the bleeding edge of semiconductor physics. Our customers are pushing the limits of power density and signal integrity. As the Sr. VP, you aren't just managing a team; you are ensuring that our thermal and interconnect solutions enable the next generation of silicon.
