The Role

The Business Management Office within Fidelity's Architecture and Engineering organization is seeking a Vice President (VP), Strategic Initiatives Lead to drive high-impact technology programs and advance our long-term strategic goals. This role requires a results-oriented, executive leader who can enable continuous value creation while driving organizational optimization, operational rigor, and scalability.

We are looking for a VP, Strategic Initiatives Lead, who will own the successful delivery of major programs within a strategic technology portfolio, including initiatives such as platform modernizations, large-scale product deprecations or migrations, and top-priority security programs.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Delivering enterprise thought leadership, strategic partnership, process improvements, and analysis expertise across product management, engineering and architecture teams to ensure we are creating and providing the maximum value.
  • Providing strategic and programmatic technical guidance across teams and business units to relay expectations and guidelines to manage timelines and deliverables.
  • Working closely with business and technical leaders, product managers, and development teams to advance program agendas that provide executive visibility, transparency, and alignment.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement to provide new and enhanced opportunities for alignment, future direction, and optimization across multiple Business Units.
  • Influencing others to align to new or evolving standards, best practices, and process improvements.
  • Designing key inputs and outputs of people and processes for existing and new routines such as QTR, MYP, QBR, Quarterly Plannings, etc.
  • Delivering clear, concise, executive-level reporting, communications, and documentation to address risks and issues.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 15 plus years of experience, ideally in program management, process improvement, consulting and/or business strategy and planning.
  • Program Management Institute (PMI/PMP) Certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to understand and resolve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated executive presence, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient influencing and program management skills to successfully drive complex company-wide programs across Business Units with critical dependencies.
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic professional with proven success working in large, matrixed organizations.
  • Able to translate strategy into action that drives clear, measurable, and sustainable outcomes.
  • Highly organized; can work under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail and quick turn-around.

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$264,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
