Job description

About the Role

Ogilvy Health is seeking an experienced, innovative VP of Project Management and Delivery Operations to lead delivery strategy, operational governance, and execution of our proprietary suite of high-impact, customer-facing digital communication resources (ARC and Digital Briefcases) and market access marketing engagements across our Access Solutions business.

This individual will serve as a strategic operational leader, bridging digital strategy, emerging technologies, and experience-led innovation. They are responsible for aligning stakeholders from account, data strategy, digital development, creative, QA and client technology teams to deliver complex, proprietary engagement solutions in highly regulated environments. In addition, they will serve as the project management leader on existing and new market access engagements, deploying the right mix of platforms and processes to ensure delivery excellence.

Overseeing a portfolio of complex accounts, this role manages cross-functional program delivery across 8-16 concurrent workstreams and geographically distributed team members. In addition to driving delivery excellence, the VP will champion operational rigor, optimize resourcing and capacity planning, and drive financial performance-including scoping, contracting, and safeguarding project profitability.

A critical component of this business unit's success is platform fluency, specifically within Veeva Vault and Veeva CRM. While this is a senior leadership role, the VP must possess the platform literacy required to architect delivery strategies around client-specific Veeva configurations, mitigate systemic risks, and guide teams through complex medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) review workflows.

What You'll Do

Strategic Program and Digital Delivery Leadership

  • Enterprise-Scale Governance: Own end-to-end program delivery across a diverse portfolio of complex digital applications, platform-based solutions, and interactive experiences, managing 8-16 concurrent workstreams and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Financial and Operational Rigor: Support executive leadership in managing portfolio budgets, job estimating and forecasting. Drive positive project financial write-ups through tight, proactive management of project scopes, timelines and resources.
  • New Product Development: Support the development and operationalization of new products and product enhancements from concept through launch, ensuring rigorous discovery and development process and full-team alignment.
  • Strategic Scoping and Growth: Partner with Client Services and Business Development to organically grow enterprise accounts. Author statements of works, define delivery methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), and lead scoping and estimation for new business pitches.

Veeva Platform and Digital Ecosystem Oversight

  • Strategic Veeva Governance: Act as the ultimate operational authority for work intersecting with Veeva Vault and Veeva CRM.
  • Risk and Configuration Mapping: Guide clients and internal teams through the complexities of customized Veeva setups, identifying potential configuration blocks, workflow gaps, and integration risks before they impact launch readiness.
  • Multi-Platform Integration: Supervise the delivery of solutions built on modern CMS/DXP platforms (such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, and SharePoint) and collaborative design ecosystems (Figma), ensuring seamless interoperability with Veeva.

Project Management Excellence, Mentorship, and Scale

  • Project Management Leadership: Establish operational standards, optimize platform integration into workflows, and strengthen delivery discipline across the group
  • Resource and Capacity Optimization: Support resource-planning and capacity-tracking to balance delivery demands with team capacity in an ecosystem involving a third-party development partner.
  • Change Management and Process Innovation: Architect and deploy modernized workflows, leveraging AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot, AI agents, automated workflow tools) to drive delivery efficiency and reduce time-to-market.

Internal and External Client Relationship and Trust

  • Trusted Delivery Partner: Establish deep, consultative relationships across internal and external stakeholder teams, communicating project health, systemic risks, and strategic solutions with clarity and authority.
  • Escalation Management: Serve as the ultimate point of escalation for complex delivery roadblocks, providing calm, decisive leadership under high-pressure launch and deployment scenarios.

What You'll Need

  • Experience: 15-20+ years of progressive project, program, and delivery management leadership experience within a digital agency, pharmaceutical marketing company, or digital product consultancy
  • Proven Scale: Track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional programs and managing geographically distributed teams
  • Pharmaceutical & Veeva Expertise: Deep operational fluency in Veeva Vault and Veeva CRM, with a comprehensive understanding of how varying client configurations impact requirements, QA, MLR approvals, and deployment
  • Platform Breadth: Strong familiarity with major CMS/DXP platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, SharePoint) and design systems (Figma, Miro)
  • Financial and Commercial Acumen: Proven success managing complex budgets, forecasting, SOW development, and pricing models, with a demonstrated history of optimizing project profitability
  • Methodology Expertise: Deep mastery of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies, with the ability to customize delivery frameworks to match client-specific environments
  • Tooling Leadership: High proficiency with enterprise portfolio management tools (Jira, Smartsheet, Ziflow, etc.) and a forward-looking approach to integrating AI/productivity-automation tools into PM workflows
  • Education: Advanced degree or PMP/Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe) are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Managed Markets Fluency: Baseline understanding of Managed Markets, Market Access, payer communications, and reimbursement communications
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Expertise in navigating complex MLR/regulatory review workflows in a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting.
  • AI and Innovation: Experience implementing advanced workflow automation, AI agents, or enterprise innovation platforms

Key Competencies:

  • Executive Presence: Ability to command a room, influence a range of stakeholders, and present complex operational strategies clearly
  • Strategic Operational Vision: Ability to connect high-level business strategy with practical, disciplined delivery execution
  • Culture-builder: Passion for training, coaching, and positively impacting team culture
  • Financial Stewardship: Exceptional commercial discipline with a sharp focus on scoping accuracy, cost management, and margin protection
  • Adaptive Problem Solving: Calm, analytical, and highly strategic approach to resolving complex system and personnel blockers

What Success Looks Like:

  • Operational Excellence: Optimizing delivery playbooks across the Access Solutions division, resulting in increased delivery speed and higher quality of execution.
  • Financial Growth & Health: Successfully defending and growing client accounts through flawless execution, while consistently delivering healthy profit margins.
  • Veeva Navigation Mastery: Creating a seamless pipeline for complex, multi-configuration Veeva deployments with zero critical compliance or technical failures at launch.
  • Team Evolution: Building a highly motivated, unified PMO team that feels supported, mentored, and equipped with the latest modern delivery tools (including AI integrations).
