Team Overview
The Global Infrastructure, Engineering & Operations (GIO) organization is responsible for delivering TransUnion's enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, operational services, and foundational technology capabilities that support business growth, resiliency, security, and innovation worldwide.
The Vice President, Global Network Engineering will lead the strategy, engineering, modernization, and reliability of TransUnion's global network services. This executive will oversee the network foundation connecting cloud, on-premises, data center, corporate, partner, and customer-facing environments while driving the transformation toward modern, automated, service-oriented networking capabilities.
This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Global Infrastructure, Engineering & Operations and serves as a key technology leader responsible for advancing network resiliency, cloud connectivity, automation, observability, and operational excellence across the enterprise.This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview and Core Responsibilities
The Vice President, Global Network Engineering is responsible for defining and executing the global network strategy while ensuring secure, resilient, scalable, and highly available network services that enable critical business operations and technology initiatives.
  • Lead the global network strategy, architecture, engineering, and roadmap across LAN, WAN, cloud, data center, internet edge, partner connectivity, and corporate network environments.
  • Drive modernization of network services supporting hybrid and multi-cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Simplify network complexity through standardization, segmentation, resiliency improvements, lifecycle management, and architectural modernization initiatives.
  • Establish and mature a service-based operating model with clearly defined network services, ownership, performance measures, support models, and continuous improvement plans.
  • Partner with cloud, platform, architecture, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to improve consumption of network services through automation, standard designs, and self-service capabilities.
  • Strengthen network reliability through disciplined incident management, problem management, change governance, root cause analysis, and corrective action execution.
  • Advance network observability, automation, telemetry, event correlation, and AI-enabled operational capabilities to improve service availability and reduce operational complexity.
  • Integrate security, compliance, segmentation, auditability, access controls, and policy-driven governance into network designs and operational practices.
  • Own network capacity planning, technology lifecycle management, vendor partnerships, investment strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing global engineering organization focused on accountability, innovation, service ownership, technical excellence, and customer outcomes.

Required Knowledge and Experiences
  • 15+ years of progressive experience leading large-scale enterprise network engineering, architecture, or infrastructure organizations within complex global environments.
  • Deep expertise designing, implementing, and operating global network services across data centers, cloud platforms, internet connectivity, and corporate networks.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing technology modernization strategies within hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Proven success leading large-scale engineering organizations, developing talent, and building high-performing teams across multiple geographies.
  • Experience operating within highly regulated environments while balancing security, resiliency, compliance, risk management, and business growth objectives.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience partnering with senior technology and business leaders to drive strategic outcomes.

Required Technical Skills
  • Expertise in enterprise networking technologies including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, DNS, load balancing, and network segmentation.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking architectures and connectivity patterns across GCP, AWS, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Experience with network observability, telemetry, monitoring, event management, and performance analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of network security frameworks, zero trust principles, access controls, compliance requirements, and policy-driven network governance.
  • Experience implementing network automation, infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, and AI-assisted operational practices to improve efficiency and reliability.

Pay Scale Information:
The U.S. base salary range for this position is $193,500.00 - $406,500.00 *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
