About Storr Office Environments

Storr Office Environments is a leading provider of integrated workplace solutions, helping organizations create environments that inspire people, strengthen culture, and drive performance. As a premier partner of Steelcase, Storr serves clients across corporate, healthcare, education, government, and emerging industries throughout the Southeast.

Our team combines workplace strategy, design, furniture, technology, flooring, and architectural solutions to create exceptional customer experiences for some of the region's most respected organizations.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Vice President of Sales who can help shape the future of our business, strengthen our culture, and accelerate profitable growth.

Position Summary

Storr Office Environments is seeking a dynamic, humble, and growth-oriented Vice President of Sales to lead and accelerate our Raleigh sales organization and surrounding markets.

This executive leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth, building a high-performing sales culture, strengthening strategic customer relationships, and developing future leaders within the organization.

This is not a "maintain the status quo" leadership role. We are seeking a builder - a leader energized by customer relationships, talent development, accountability, and growth.

The ideal candidate combines competitive drive with humility, strong business acumen with emotional intelligence, and confidence with a genuine willingness to learn and grow alongside the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Growth & Strategy

  • Develop and execute quarterly and annual sales strategies that drive profitable growth
  • Lead business development initiatives across core markets and emerging opportunities
  • Strengthen Storr's go-to-market strategy and competitive positioning
  • Partner with executive leadership on annual planning, forecasting, and growth priorities
  • Negotiate and close complex, high-value opportunities

Build & Lead High-Performing Teams

  • Recruit, coach, and develop top sales talent
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Establish SMART goals and clear performance expectations
  • Conduct regular coaching and performance conversations
  • Identify and develop future leaders and succession pipelines

Strengthen Customer & Industry Relationships

  • Serve as a visible, customer-facing leader in the marketplace
  • Build strategic relationships with:
    • Commercial real estate firms
    • Architecture & Design (A&D) partners
    • Contractors
    • Enterprise clients
    • Manufacturer partners
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver exceptional customer experiences

Deliver Operational Excellence

  • Lead disciplined pipeline management and forecasting processes
  • Drive performance across revenue, profitability, bookings, and customer satisfaction
  • Utilize CRM and analytics tools to improve sales effectiveness
  • Establish KPIs and reporting rhythms that create visibility and accountability

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience
  • Commercial interiors, contract furniture, workplace solutions, manufacturing, or distribution experience strongly preferred
  • Office furniture dealership experience highly preferred
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including P&L leadership experience

Leadership Traits & Cultural Fit

Teachable & Growth-Oriented

Success at Storr requires leaders who remain open to learning, feedback, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate:

  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and humility
  • Welcomes coaching and diverse perspectives
  • Learns from both successes and setbacks
  • Continuously evolves their leadership approach

Humble & Team-Centered

We are seeking a leader who balances confidence with humility and places team success above personal recognition.

The ideal candidate:

  • Leads with authenticity and integrity
  • Builds trust through relationships and actions
  • Shares credit and values collaboration
  • Listens actively and respects differing viewpoints

Emotional Intelligence & Accountability

  • Communicates effectively and manages conflict constructively
  • Balances empathy with accountability
  • Handles difficult conversations respectfully and directly
  • Demonstrates resilience and professionalism during periods of change

Compensation & Benefits

Storr offers a highly competitive executive compensation package designed to reward performance, leadership, and long-term growth contributions.

Benefits Include

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Leadership development opportunities
  • Team Member wellness and engagement programs
  • Collaborative, growth-oriented culture

Why Join Storr?

This is an opportunity to help shape the future of one of the Southeast's most respected commercial interiors organizations.

You will join a high-performing leadership team, influence company strategy, develop future leaders, and play a central role in accelerating growth while helping customers create workplaces that transform how people work and connect.

If you are energized by leadership, customer relationships, culture-building, and growth - we would love to meet you.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other protected classification.
