Job description

Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking a Vice President of Operations in the Stockton area to build and lead a new offsite mechanical fabrication operation from the ground up.

Impact

  • Stand up and scale a prefabrication shop serving commercial mechanical and mission-critical projects.
  • Own safety, quality, and on-time delivery across piping and MEP fabrication.
  • Turn a startup shop into a repeatable, profitable operation within a year.
  • Build the leadership team that lets the business win larger contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations for an offsite MEP and piping fabrication facility.
  • Manage production planning, scheduling, and material flow.
  • Set QA/QC standards, operating procedures, and weld procedures.
  • Hire, coach, and develop shop and plant leadership.
  • Align fabrication with sales, field, and procurement.
  • Own the shop budget, labor planning, and capital equipment decisions.
  • Drive improvement in throughput, cost, and safety.
  • Support data center and mission-critical clients.

Must-Haves

  • Ten or more years in mechanical, piping, or MEP fabrication, including five in operations leadership.
  • A record of running or standing up a prefabrication or manufacturing shop.
  • Strong knowledge of weld procedures, QA/QC, and production planning.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Data center or mission-critical fabrication experience.
  • Lean manufacturing background.
