Up to 25% travel to domestic and international travel

Position Summary:

The Product Engineer is a multi-faceted position that allows the individual to work in several areas of the company from product design and product development along with testing and customer integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new products to meet customers’ technical requirements and needs.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
  • Work with Research and Development group to bring new products to completion.
  • Work with customers on proto install of products.
  • Work with domestic suppliers and Sourcing group to acquire product.
  • Verify all systems perform to requested standards.
  • Notifies supervisor of issues as necessary.
  • Collects and maintains documentation on products.
  • Follows all safety rules.
  • Maintain an organized workspace.
  • Performs other duties as requested to full accountability.
  • Monitor product performance in the field and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Track KPIs such as adoption rates, customer satisfaction, and return rates.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; MBA a plus.
  • 5+ years of product design and development experience in the RV industry or adjacent markets.
  • Deep understanding of RV design, construction and use.
  • Proven success in launching and managing technical products in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, especially within teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical and Hydraulic design background.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency within tight deadlines.
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to lift, operate equipment, use scanner, phone and computer. The employee may be required to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and may access a variety of spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, bending, stooping and reaching.
