Alternative Investments Products
The Advisors Asset Management (AAM) Alternative Investments Regional Vice President is responsible for leading the sales and marketing strategy for AAM’s alternative investment products within the assigned region. This role supports a rapidly expanding suite of alternative solutions spanning multiple private market asset classes and investment structures, including both private placements and evergreen vehicles.
The Regional Vice President will proactively develop and manage relationships across key U.S. wealth channels, including RIAs, financial advisors, and intermediary partners. In addition, this individual will collaborate closely with AAM’s external wholesaling teams in the region to execute coordinated alternative investment sales initiatives, deepen existing relationships, and drive new business growth.
Southeast Territory Available: North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy for alternative investments, aligned with national goals
  • Maintain and expand financial advisor relationships, especially in the RIA, wirehouse and private bank channels of wealth
  • Convey deep technical knowledge of Private Markets as well as AAM’s investment strategies and growing suite of alternative investment strategies
  • Organize and execute roadshows and field engagement events
  • Partner with AAM wholesale team to increase sales and advisor adoption
  • Attend various conferences and networking opportunities to expand the AAM Alternative Investments brand in the marketplace
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Self-motivated leader with proven sales skills and extensive market knowledge
  • Experience in external sales or wholesaling preferred
  • Proven track record of raising assets in Alternative Investments
  • Ability to travel and engage with advisors and clients
  • Ability to anticipate problems and overcome obstacles
  • Willingness to experiment and lead through business expansion and growth
  • Strong communications skills: oral, written and presentations
  • Ability to communicate between management, internal and external sales partners
  • Ability to collaborate across the firm
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of financial services industry and minimum of 3 years alternative investments sales experience
  • Existing RIA Relationships
  • Required Certifications: FINRA Series 7, 66
  • CFA, CFP, CIMA, CAIA, MBA a plus
