Job summary and qualifications:
- Documents patient information, presents correct information for interpretation, and performs other non-clinical duties to support procedure completion.
- Performs all aspects of radiopharmaceutical preparation for scintigraphy, bioassay, and therapeutic procedures and disposes of radioactive trash according to department policy and the nuclear regulatory commission.
- Performs imaging and therapeutic procedures according to requirements.
- Performs non-clinical activities pertinent to equipment maintenance and nrc regulations for quality control and radiation monitoring.
- Efficiently operates electronic information system and unit dose manager.
- Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean and organized working environment.
- Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of nuclear medicine.
- Participates in a departmental oa/pi project as needed.
- Render care in a professional and courteous manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic cardiac life support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiological technology or nuclear medicine.
- Certified nuclear medicine technologist (nmtcb), or registered radiographer (arrt).
- One year experience in nuclear medicine (may include experience in formal nm training program).
