CPA is a must!

This is more than an operations leadership role. The General Manager / Vice President of Operations will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, helping shape the future direction of the organization and influencing the decisions that drive growth, profitability, client experience, and long-term enterprise value.

Working directly with the President and executive leadership, this individual will play a critical role in evaluating business opportunities, improving operational performance, expanding service capabilities, and executing strategic initiatives that support sustainable revenue growth. The successful candidate will have a seat at the table where important business decisions are made and will be expected to contribute both operational expertise and strategic business insight.

Operations & Service Delivery

  • Partner with accounting, advisory, and business leadership to ensure efficient delivery of recurring client services and strategic engagements.
  • Develop operational strategies that enhance client experience while supporting business growth, resource optimization, and service quality.
  • Improve capacity planning, workflow management, and resource allocation across client service teams.
  • Monitor service quality, turnaround times, client retention, and key operational performance metrics.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, scalability, and consistency across service delivery functions.

Financial & Business Management

  • Maintain a strong understanding of accounting, advisory, and professional services operations to support informed business decisions.
  • Collaborate with leadership on service line profitability, pricing strategies, client retention initiatives, and resource planning.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives, operational planning, and continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
  • Evaluate and implement best practices that improve service delivery, team performance, and client outcomes.

Desired Experience

  • Senior leadership experience within accounting, financial services, consulting, professional services, or another operationally complex organization.
  • CPA; public accounting, outsourced accounting, advisory, consulting, finance, or operational leadership
  • Experience managing or supporting accounting services, client advisory, consulting engagements, recurring service offerings, or multi-client environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams through periods of growth, changing priorities, and evolving client demands while maintaining service excellence.
  • Strong understanding of professional services economics, client retention strategies, workflow management, staff development, and operational performance.
  • Proven ability to implement technology, automation, and process improvements that drive efficiency, scalability, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills with the ability to align teams around strategic objectives.

Compensation is 175 - 225K plus 10-15% bonus. Equity in the company is available in the long term.
