Position Summary
VP Supply Corp. is seeking a dependable, safety-focused CDL Selector / Backup Driver to join our warehouse and transportation team. This dual-role position is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders in the warehouse while serving as a backup CDL driver to ensure timely deliveries when needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Order Selector
  • Accurately pick, stage, and prepare customer orders using warehouse management systems and RF scanners.
  • Verify product quantities, descriptions, and quality before shipment.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles while ensuring products are properly secured.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and other warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Backup Driver
  • Safely operate vehicles to deliver products to customers when assigned.
  • Load, transport, and unload materials while protecting product integrity.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Obtain customer signatures and complete required delivery documentation.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service during deliveries.
  • Comply with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safe driving practices.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Previous warehouse, order selecting, or distribution experience preferred.
  • Commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (or willingness to become certified).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
