Job description

Title: Powder Coat Masker

Type of Placement: Temp to Perm

Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday

Pay: $17.00-$20.00

Summary:

 

Powder coating masking is the process of applying unique masking materials, such

as masking discs, and high-temperature tape, to certain parts of the surface. These

Masking materials creates a barrier that prevents the powder from adhering to

specific parts of the surface.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·         Mask metal parts that are to be finished by applying powder coat and keep required areas free of the coating.

·         Remove masking (unmask) from parts that have been coated.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

·         High school diploma or GED

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

·         2+ years previous experience masking wet paint or powder. 

·         Print reading experience and exposure is needed but does not have to be excellent.

·         Ability to perform repetitive operations.

·         Must have excellent attendance.

Environmental Conditions:

·         Work takes place in a metal fabrication shop with exposure to loud machinery, sparks, heat, metal dust, and heavy equipment.

Physical Capabilities:

 

·         Must be able to: stand for 8 hours and move from role to role or sedentary standing; lift light to moderate amounts of weight; perform repetitive upper extremity motions and repetitive forceful grip/pinch movement requiring both hands.

·         Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
