Description

The Executive Vice President (EVP) serves as a strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), providing leadership and support in the development, execution, and achievement of the Company's mission, vision, and long-term strategic objectives. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the EVP plays a critical role in translating strategy into action and ensuring the successful execution of company-wide initiatives.

 In addition to strategic responsibilities, the Executive Vice President is accountable for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring operational excellence, organizational alignment, and effective collaboration across all departments. This role provides leadership, direction, and support to department leaders while driving performance, fostering a culture of accountability, and promoting continuous improvement to achieve the Company's goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

  • Collaborate with the CEO and Directors to develop, implement, and execute strategic business plans and organizational objectives.
  • Serve as the executive integrator between Business Development, Estimating, Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Project Management, and Construction to ensure projects move seamlessly through every phase of execution.
  • Serve as the executive champion for change order management processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate project performance against established schedules, budgets, and key performance indicators, taking corrective action as necessary to address deviations.
  • Review, manage, and approve project estimates, proposals, and pre-bid packages to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with Company objectives.
  • Provide executive leadership for all project execution activities from contract award through project closeout.
  • Approve project budgets, staffing plans, resource allocations, and schedules to ensure successful project execution and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships with clients, engineering firms, construction partners, suppliers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the project management team to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate contractual and operational risks by reviewing agreements and partnering with the CEO and corporate counsel to negotiate favorable terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across departments to enhance efficiency, profitability, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties and strategic initiatives as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in construction leadership positions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge and experience with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors.
  • Proven experience managing risk, profitability, and client relationships.
