Job description

In our organization, the Inspector III has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting our commitments.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under minimal supervision, provide quality control support for receipt, in-process, and finished goods inspection. Identifies, records, evaluates and recommends solutions to quality problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide test and inspection functions for all production processes.
  • Provide dimensional and visual inspection to engineering requirements.
  • Provide or recommend solutions and/or corrective actions to eliminate quality problem.
  • Aid in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
  • Perform Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Visual and Ultrasonic Inspections.
  • Complete reports and related paperwork.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least five years inspection experience in a quality control/manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • ASNT TC 1A Certified Level II, NDT
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality control systems and associated procedures.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings for marking nomenclature and location.
  • Basic computer skills, ie email, Word, Excel.
  • Basic typing skills to prepare electro etch stencils, enter NCRs, move parts in Glovia, and access files in Master Control.
  • Mathematical skills (addition/subtraction, multiplication/division, algebra, trigonometry, geometry).
  • Conversions of decimals to fractions and vice versa.
  • Utilize blueprints, charts and graphs, customer drawings and specifications.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write and converse in English.

We may also consider candidates for a lower-level position depending on the experience and qualifications of the candidate and the needs of the business.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Light to heavy physical effort may be required.
  • Lifting and moving up to 10 pounds frequently and in excess of 20 pounds occasionally; over 30 pounds with assistance).
  • Prolonged standing.
  • Occasional bending, reaching and pulling.
  • Some repetitive activity
