Position Summary

The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the company's overall marketing strategy to drive revenue growth, market leadership, customer acquisition, and customer retention. This executive leader will oversee all aspects of B2B marketing, including demand generation, brand management, product marketing, content marketing, digital marketing, communications, customer marketing, and marketing operations.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the VP of Marketing will lead a high-performing marketing organization and partner closely with Sales, Operations and Executive Leadership to achieve corporate growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Establish annual and multi-year marketing plans, budgets, goals, and KPIs.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team on market trends, customer insights, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities.
  • Build and scale a modern marketing organization capable of supporting rapid business growth.
  • Collaborate with both content- and visual-team colleagues to plan and produce attention-getting multimedia collateral
  • Support Visual Designer in creating and maintaining graphics materials and handling day-to-day graphics/design requests
  • Provide multimedia support on major projects such as trade shows, campaigns, and events
  • Manage technical responsibilities of video and photo creation and editing for projects

Thought Leadership and Market Influence

  • Develop and execute a thought leadership strategy that positions the company as a trusted industry authority and preferred partner within its target markets.
  • Elevate executive leadership visibility through strategic speaking engagements, industry events, media opportunities, podcasts, webinars, and published content.
  • Lead the creation of high-value research, insights, white papers, case studies, and market commentary that influence customers, prospects, industry analysts, and partners.
  • Build relationships with industry influencers, analysts, trade associations, and media outlets to strengthen the company's market presence and credibility.
  • Identify emerging industry trends and translate market insights into compelling content and campaigns that shape industry conversations.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and Customer Success leaders to showcase customer outcomes, innovation, and expertise through impactful storytelling.
  • Establish measurement frameworks to track brand sentiment, share of voice, media coverage, analyst recognition, thought leadership engagement, and market influence.
  • Drive programs that increase the company's recognition among customers, prospects, industry analysts, and key stakeholders as a leader and innovator in the market.

Demand Generation and Pipeline Growth

  • Own marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline targets.
  • Develop demand generation programs across digital, content, events, ABM, partner marketing, and outbound channels.
  • Optimize lead generation, lead nurturing, conversion rates, and marketing ROI.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to improve pipeline quality and accelerate revenue growth.

Product Marketing

  • Drive go-to-market strategies for new products, solutions, and market expansions.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
  • Enable Sales with compelling product content, presentations, and competitive intelligence.

Brand and Corporate Communications

  • Build and strengthen company brand awareness and market reputation.
  • Oversee public relations, analyst relations, thought leadership, content strategy, social media, and corporate communications.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all customers and market touchpoints.

Customer Marketing and Retention

  • Develop programs that improve customer engagement, retention, upsell, and advocacy.
  • Create case studies, customer references, and advocacy programs.

Marketing Operations and Analytics

  • Oversee marketing technology platforms, CRM integration, automation systems, and reporting.
  • Establish metrics and dashboards to monitor performance and ROI.
  • Use data-driven decision-making to improve campaign effectiveness and resource allocation.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top marketing talent.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with at least 5 years leading marketing teams in a B2B environment.
  • Proven success building marketing programs that deliver measurable revenue and pipeline growth.
  • Experience leading demand generation, digital marketing, product marketing, and brand initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of modern B2B marketing technologies and analytics.
  • Track record of partnering effectively with Sales organizations.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and WordPress or other content management systems a plus
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Premiere, After Effects, Flash, and Dreamweaver)

Preferred

  • Experience in SaaS, technology, professional services, manufacturing, or other complex B2B industries.
  • Experience leading marketing organizations through periods of rapid growth or transformation.
  • Knowledge of account-based marketing (ABM) and revenue marketing methodologies.
