This leader will be accountable for securing and maintaining best-in-market cost of goods sold (COGS), commercial terms, discount value, and contractual risk protections while building strategic manufacturer partnerships that drive measurable enterprise value.### The Vice President will represent CVS Health with senior manufacturer leaders, shape contracting strategy across a growing retail brand and vaccine portfolio, lead a team of experienced negotiators, and build alignment with key internal stakeholders across Retail, Immunizations, MinuteClinic, CVS Health care delivery assets, Finance, Legal, Operations, Inventory, Analytics, CMX, Life Sciences, and other enterprise teams.### The Vice President will also help strengthen CVS Health's retail, clinical, and brand value propositions by connecting pharmacy capabilities, MinuteClinic and other care delivery assets, patient engagement solutions, data-driven insights, inventory strategies, affordability programs, and enterprise assets to manufacturer priorities. As the retail brand contracting pipeline expands and market complexity increases, this role will be central to protecting and growing enterprise value, scaling organizational capability, and advancing a strategically important function within CVS Health.### **Key Responsibilities*** ### Own and execute the enterprise contracting strategy for vaccine and retail brand pharmaceutical manufacturers across CVS Health retail channels.* ### Lead executive-level negotiations with manufacturers to secure best-in-market COGS, commercial terms, discount value, and contractual risk protections.* ### Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of negotiators and leaders responsible for manufacturer engagement, contract strategy, financial outcomes, and execution across a growing portfolio, while building organizational capabilities, succession pipelines, and future leadership talent.* ### Deliver against enterprise financial objectives through accountability for pharmaceutical spend, COGS performance, manufacturer funding, and long-term value creation while protecting enterprise value through disciplined contract strategy, financial rigor, and risk management.* ### Develop and enhance CVS Health's retail, clinical, and brand value propositions in partnership with stakeholders across Retail, Immunizations, MinuteClinic, CVS Health care delivery assets, Finance, Legal, organization with expanding scope, increasing strategic importance, and evolving enterprise priorities.### ### **Required Qualifications*** ### 15+ years of relevant experience in health care, retail pharmacy, pharmacy benefit management, pharmaceutical manufacturing, trade contracting, procurement, or related industries.* ### Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer contracting, drug spend, procurement, pricing, formulary management, retail pharmacy economics, and market access dynamics.* ### Experience with vaccine procurement, commercialization, or manufacturer engagement preferred.* ### Proven success leading complex, high-value manufacturer negotiations with accountability for COGS, commercial terms, financial outcomes, and contractual risk protection.* ### Strategic, commercially oriented executive with strong internal and external influence.* ### Demonstrated ability to build executive-level relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and senior internal stakeholders while aligning diverse interests to advance strategic priorities and enterprise outcomes.* ### Experience translating complex commercial, financial, legal, operational, and market dynamics into clear executive-level recommendations.* ### Progressive leadership experience leading multi-level organizations, developing talent, scaling organizational capabilities, and managing teams of negotiators.* ### Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop executive-level business presentations and facilitate senior leadership discussions.* ### Deep financial acumen with the ability to translate contract strategy into measurable enterprise financial impact.* ### Strategic vision, critical thinking, creativity, and strong problem-solving this role is:### $240,000-$340,000### This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
