JOB DESCRIPTION:

We're looking for a VP of Engineering to lead our engineering team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to set the technical direction of the org, drive execution, and provide hands-on mentorship, guidance, and upskilling to a team of 7 direct reports.

You'll play a central role in owning the technical roadmap, building the management infrastructure that keeps the team performing at a high level, and serving as a key voice in senior leadership. You'll also collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to drive the continued evolution of our platform.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, leads with both technical depth and people instincts, and is as comfortable mentoring engineers as they are staying close to the work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and develop a team of 7 engineers who will report directly to you
  • Establish and own the processes that support a high-performing team, from progress tracking and performance reviews to day-to-day people management
  • Serve as a key member of senior leadership and set the technical direction of the org
  • Own the technical roadmap
  • Collaborate closely with with cross-functional partners to drive the continued evolution of our platform
  • Participate in senior leadership affairs and set the technical direction of the organization
  • Proven track record implementing and owning engineering QA standards and practices across a team
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 4+ years of engineering management experience and building the structure and processes to scale them
  • Hands-on technical leader who has stayed close to the work
  • Experience building web and mobile products
  • Proficiency with leveraging AI tools and development practices to increase engineering velocity
  • Strong foundation in RAG systems, search, and information retrieval systems
