Job description

The Vice President of Sales is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing the organization's sales strategy to drive revenue growth, occupancy, and market expansion. This role provides strategic direction, leadership, and oversight to the sales organization, ensuring alignment with company goals, operational excellence, and a high-performance culture.
The VP of Sales partners cross-functionally to enhance the customer experience, strengthen market positioning, and implement scalable processes, tools, and training programs that drive consistent results across all communities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive revenue, occupancy, and census targets
  • Identify market trends and opportunities to expand market share and improve competitive positioning

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales leadership team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee talent planning, succession development, and performance management across the sales organization

Operational Excellence
  • Standardize and optimize sales processes, policies, and best practices across all communities
  • Ensure consistent execution of sales strategies through effective communication and accountability systems
  • Evaluate and enhance sales training programs to build capabilities across all roles involved in the sales process

Performance Management
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing insights and actionable recommendations
  • Partner with underperforming teams and markets to implement targeted improvement strategies
  • Ensure achievement of revenue, occupancy, and growth targets

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Human Resources to align on strategic initiatives
  • Support the development of competitive compensation structures and incentive programs
  • Collaborate on marketing initiatives to drive qualified lead generation and conversion

Sales Innovation & Enablement
  • Champion the adoption and optimization of sales technology and tools
  • Drive continuous improvement in customer engagement and sales effectiveness
  • Lead initiatives that enhance productivity, efficiency, and the overall sales experience
