Job Description
Vice President of Finance | Up to $200k + Bonus Potential | High Growth Company!
Location: Greater Tampa, FL | On-Site | Local Candidates Only
A well-established, private equity-backed organization with a long track record of operational excellence is seeking a Vice President of Finance to serve as the primary financial thought leader and strategic partner to executive and ownership stakeholders. This is a rare opportunity to step into a mature, high-functioning finance organization to elevate an already exceptional team and help drive the next chapter of growth. The accounting function is tenured, stable, and runs with remarkable efficiency, creating a strong foundation from which this leader can focus on strategy, M&A, and long-term value creation. The role sits at the senior leadership table, with direct partnership to the CEO, BOD, and PE ownership, requiring someone equally comfortable in the weeds of financial detail as they are presenting at the highest levels. The company is actively pursuing both organic growth and acquisition opportunities, making M&A experience and a strategic mindset genuinely essential rather than simply preferred. The culture is warm, collaborative, and low-hierarchy - long tenure is the norm, trust runs deep, and the best idea wins regardless of title. This is an opportunity for a seasoned finance executive who leads with humility, thinks like an operator, and is energized by the chance to shape the financial future of a thriving, purpose-driven business. Successful completion of background, drug, credit and reference checks required!
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary financial strategic partner to the CEO, board, and private equity ownership
  • Lead all forecasting, budgeting, and long-range financial planning processes
  • Deliver high-quality financial reporting packages to internal leadership, lenders, and ownership stakeholders
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and ensure GAAP compliance throughout
  • Oversee capital structure, treasury functions, and cash flow management across the organization
  • Lead M&A activity including financial due diligence, deal structuring, and integration support
  • Assess and mitigate financial and operational risk across all business functions
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banking partners, and legal counsel
  • Oversee tax planning and ensure accurate, timely filings in partnership with external advisors
  • Partner across functions as a key member of executive leadership to drive shared business outcomes

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA license required
  • 12+ years of progressive finance leadership
  • Background in manufacturing, distribution, or tangible goods industries required
  • Private equity-backed company experience strongly preferred
  • M&A experience including leading through financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration, strongly preferred
  • Multi-entity or multi-location experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Exceptional communicator - able to present confidently to boards, lenders, and ownership
  • Highly collaborative and humble; thrives in a high-trust, low-ego environment
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial compliance

Why You'll Love Working Here:
  • High-performing finance organization with a tenured team already firing on all cylinders
  • A seat at the senior leadership table with real influence over strategy, growth, and capital decisions
  • A PE partnership that is intentionally supportive and focused on long-term value creation
  • A culture defined by collaboration, trust, and longevity
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, 401(k) with generous match, and 100% company-paid life, disability, and wellness coverage
