The OpportunityThe Dallas Market Leader is a pivotal, senior-level role responsible for leading Taylor White's Dallas office. This individual will serve as the face of Taylor White in the DFW market - driving team performance across both our Permanent, Consulting, and Advisory divisions and developing the professionals on their team into high-performing, client-ready advisors. Reporting directly to the CEO, this person will have the autonomy to build something meaningful, backed by the infrastructure, brand, and 25-year track record of Taylor White.
This is a leadership role - not a production role. This individual is ready to take their experience to lead a fast growing market and is more passionate about leading others. The Market Leader's success is measured through the success of their team. They will invest their time in daily operations, talent development, and supporting their recruiters and business development professionals through the full lifecycle of client engagement, including attending client meetings and coaching their team through the process in real time.
What You'll OwnTeam Leadership & Daily Operations - Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and development of the Permanent Placement, Consulting, and Advisory divisions
- Set individual and team production goals; hold the team accountable to activity metrics and revenue targets
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture consistent with Taylor White's values
- Partner with firm leadership on hiring, onboarding, and continued development of Dallas-based team members
Supporting the Team Through Client Development - Attend client meetings alongside team members - stepping in as a senior presence, coach, and resource to help your team navigate complex client conversations
- Guide business development professionals, recruiters, and accounting advisory professionals through client acquisition strategies, positioning Taylor White's value proposition, and building lasting client relationships
- Conduct regular deal reviews and pipeline discussions to unblock team members and ensure consistent revenue activity
- Represent Taylor White at Dallas-area networking events, professional associations, and community organizations alongside team members to drive brand visibility and market presence
- Draw on your own BD experience to model best practices, share what worked, and coach in real time - without carrying your own client portfolio
Who You AreYou started your career in accounting or finance - and that foundation is central to how you operate. You understand the work your candidates do and the problems your clients face because you have lived it. When you transitioned into recruiting or advisory, you found your calling: bringing together exceptional talent and the organizations that need them. You built a career doing exactly that, including building client relationships and driving revenue yourself, and now you're ready to lead a market and develop others to do the same.
You bring: - A background in Accounting and/or Finance prior to entering the staffing/recruitment or consulting industry (public accounting, accounting advisory, corporate accounting/finance, etc. - CPA a plus)
- Significant experience in finance and accounting-focused recruiting or consulting services, with demonstrated success across the accounting and finance spectrum - from Staff Accountants to CFOs
- Proven leadership experience overseeing Permanent Placement and/or a Consulting/Interim Staffing practice - you understand the distinct rhythms, economics, and client expectations of each
- A prior track record of personally generating business - you know what it takes to win clients, build relationships, and ask for the business - and you now channel that experience into developing others
- Experience managing, mentoring, and holding accountable a team of recruiters and/or business development professionals
- The maturity and executive presence to represent Taylor White at the highest levels of client organizations - as a coach and senior partner alongside your team
- Existing relationships in the DFW finance and accounting market - or the demonstrated ability and hunger to build them - which you will leverage on behalf of your team
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA a plus
- Prior career experience in accounting/finance before entering the recruiting and/or consulting industry
- Experience in finance and accounting recruiting and/or consulting services, with at least 3+ years in a leadership capacity overseeing a team
- Specialty in finance and accounting agency recruitment and/or consulting services is required - generalist or pure talent acquisition backgrounds will not be considered
- Demonstrated experience leading or overseeing permanent placement and/or consulting/interim staffing operations
- Prior history of business development and client relationship management within a finance and accounting staffing context - even if not currently in a production role
