Quanterix is a global leader in ultra-sensitive biomarker detection, enabling breakthroughs in disease research, diagnostics, and drug development. Its proprietary Simoa® technology delivers industry-leading sensitivity, allowing researchers to detect and quantify biomarkers in blood and other fluids at concentrations far below traditional limits. With more than 3,400 peer-reviewed publications, Quanterix has been a trusted partner to the scientific community for nearly two decades. In 2025, Quanterix acquired Akoya Biosciences, The Spatial Biology Company®, adding multiplexed tissue imaging with single-cell resolution to its portfolio. Together, the combined company offers a uniquely integrated platform that connects biology across blood and tissue-advancing precision medicine from discovery to diagnostics.
ROLE SUMMARY:

The VP, Research Products will lead the strategy and development of the company's core technologies for blood and tissue biomarker measurements, spanning both Simoa and Spatial products, ensuring these portfolios continue to drive market leadership, and long-term growth.
The VP, Research Products partners closely with Commercial, R&D/Engineering, Operations, and Corp. Strategy to align products with corporate objectives and market opportunities. This role plays a critical part in shaping Quanterix long-term innovation agenda, while strengthening our competitive position.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision:
• Define and lead the company's global product strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives.
• Develop and manage the product roadmap across both Simoa and Spatial platforms.
• Identify new product opportunities, adjacent markets, and platform expansions that strengthen the company's scientific and commercial leadership.
• Ensure product investments prioritize high-impact opportunities that maximize revenue growth and long-term value creation.
Product Portfolio Management:
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the product portfolio including concept development, commercialization, and lifecycle optimization.
• Lead portfolio strategy across instruments, assays, consumables, software, and emerging technology platforms.
• Evaluate product performance, customer adoption, and market feedback to inform roadmap decisions and portfolio prioritization.
• Ensure continued innovation and differentiation within Simoa and Spatial product ecosystems, expanding applications and scientific capabilities.
Market & Customer Insights
• Build deep understanding of customer needs across research, clinical, and biopharma markets.
• Monitor industry trends in biomarker discovery, spatial biology, and precision medicine.

Innovation & Growth
• Drive innovation across the company's technology platforms, including next-generation advancements in ultrasensitive detection (Simoa) and spatial biology solutions.
• Identify emerging technologies, partnerships, and acquisitions that expand the product portfolio and strengthen competitive advantages.
• Support long-term platform evolution and development of new capabilities that extend the company's scientific leadership.
Leadership & Organizational Development
• Build and lead a high-performing product management organization.
• Establish clear processes for product planning, portfolio prioritization, and product performance measurement.
• Mentor and develop product leaders across the organization while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PhD, or equivalent) preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, or innovation leadership within life sciences, diagnostics, biotechnology, or scientific instrumentation.
• Experience managing complex product portfolios including platforms, instruments, assays, and software solutions.
• Demonstrated success driving product innovation and commercialization in research or clinical markets.
• Strong understanding of biomarker discovery, translational research, or spatial biology technologies preferred.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across R&D, commercial, operations, and manufacturing.
WHY YOU'LL LIKE WORKING WITH US:
Our Technology:
From discovery to diagnostics, Quanterix's ultrasensitive biomarker detection is fueling breakthroughs only made possible through its unparalleled sensitivity and flexibility. Simoa® technology has delivered the gold standard for earlier biomarker detection in blood, serum or plasma, with the ability to quantify proteins that are far lower than the Level of Quantification (LoQ). Our industry-leading precision instruments, digital immunoassay technology and CLIA-certified Accelerator laboratory have supported research that advances disease understanding and management in neurology, oncology, immunology, cardiology, and infectious disease.
Akoya Biosciences, a Quanterix company, is The Spatial Biology Company®-bringing tissue context to life through high-resolution, single-cell imaging. Akoya's spatial phenotyping platforms help researchers visualize and measure how cells organize and interact within tissue to influence disease progression and therapeutic response. From discovery through clinical research, Akoya offers a full continuum of solutions, including PhenoCycler®, PhenoImager® Fusion and HT, and PhenoCode™ Panels. As part of Quanterix, Akoya complements a leading portfolio of ultra-sensitive biomarker detection technologies, together enabling a more complete view of biology and disease across both tissue and blood.
