Vice President, National Sales | OmniCable

OmniCable, LLC (OmniCable), a leading redistributor of wire, cable, and connectivity solutions, empowering customers and sales teams to drive growth, build lasting partnerships, and deliver real impact in the market, is seeking a Vice President, National Sales to be responsible for leading OmniCable's National Accounts organization and driving the commercialization, customer adoption, and growth of strategic initiatives across Communications Enterprise, Industrial Automation, and other emerging growth markets.

This role partners closely with Regional Vice Presidents, Supplier Management, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and New Product Development to translate strategic investments into profitable growth, stronger customer relationships, and consistent execution across the organization. It also serves as OmniCable's senior commercial leader for strategic account development, executive customer engagement, and expansion into non-traditional distribution channels.

Work Location:

  • This position may be based remotely within the United States.
  • Preferred locations include Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; and Philadelphia, PAdue to proximity to key customers, OmniCable locations, and travel requirements.

What You'll Do:

Leadership & Management

  • Lead and develop the National Accounts organization.
  • Recruit, coach, and retain high-performing team members.
  • Build and oversee commercial growth resources supporting Communications, Enterprise, and Industrial Automation initiatives.
  • Establish goals, priorities, and accountability measures for the team.

National Accounts Strategy

  • Develop and execute OmniCable's National Accounts strategy.
  • Establish executive-level relationships with strategic customers and key decision makers.
  • Increase customer share of wallet and position OmniCable as a strategic partner.
  • Expand OmniCable's presence within national and multi-location accounts.

Commercial Growth & Market Development

  • Develop sales plans and growth strategies for Communications, Enterprise, Industrial Automation, and other strategic growth markets.
  • Partner with Supplier Management and New Product Development to commercialize new suppliers, products, and solutions.
  • Lead customer adoption initiatives for strategic growth platforms.
  • Improve field readiness for new product launches through coordinated commercialization efforts, training, tools, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Ensure growth initiatives are consistently adopted across regions and national accounts.
  • Establish repeatable commercialization processes that accelerate customer adoption and revenue growth.

Strategic Account Planning & Channel Expansion

  • Partner with National Account Managers to develop customer growth plans and strategic account strategies.
  • Improve adoption of National Account initiatives and customer plans throughout the regional sales organization.
  • Leverage customer insights and competitive intelligence to influence commercial strategy.
  • Develop growth strategies for non-electrical distribution channels, including industrial, MRO, and national accounts such as Grainger and Fastenal.

Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor the performance of the National Accounts organization and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Establish KPIs and business reviews to track growth, customer adoption, and commercial effectiveness.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions when performance falls below expectations.

Budget Management

  • Manage budgets associated with National Accounts and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Prioritize investments and resources to support growth objectives.
  • Ensure alignment with company financial goals.

  • Growth of National Account revenue and profitability.
  • Expansion of executive-level customer relationships.
  • Growth of Communications, Enterprise, Industrial Automation, and other strategic growth platforms.

  • Strong executive relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • MBA or advanced business degree (preferred)

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of electrical distribution, communications, industrial automation, or adjacent markets.
  • Strategic planning and business development expertise.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
