· Mentorship: guiding residents and fellows in writing case reports, abstracts, and presentations

Candidate Profile

· Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Diseases

· Passion for teaching and academic medicine

Duties & Responsibilities

Clinical (Inpatient — Primary Focus)

· Provide inpatient infectious disease consultations at the affiliated 500+ bed teaching hospital for a wide range of complex infectious diseases.

· Collaborate with hospitalists, doctors, and other specialists to guide diagnosis and management of infectious disease cases

· Lead antibiotic stewardship initiatives in collaboration with pharmacy and hospital administration

· Participate in infection prevention and control activities within the hospital

Clinical (Outpatient — Limited)

· Conduct weekly outpatient clinic session for follow-up and infectious disease conditions

Teaching & Academic

Supervise and teach medical residents and fellows during inpatient ID consultations

Mentor residents and fellows in writing case reports, abstracts, and conference presentations

Participate in hospital grand rounds, case conferences, and educational seminars

Precept elective ID rotations for residents

Administrative & Quality

Participate in hospital committee work related to infection control, antimicrobial stewardship, and quality improvement

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR

Adhere to hospital credentialing requirements and maintain board certification

Compensation & Benefits

· 3-year contract with 15% raise or RVU-based compensation review at renewal

· Partnership track available after 5 years of service
