Area Vice President – Alaska, Washington & Oregon

Classic Collision is seeking an experienced Area Vice President to lead operations across Alaska, Washington, and Oregon. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and achieving strategic growth across the region.

Location: This position is open to candidates regardless of whether they currently live in Alaska, Washington, or Oregon. However, relocation support will not be provided for this role.
Travel: Approximately 75% travel throughout the assigned territory.
Compensation: $175,000–$190,000 annually, based on experience, plus bonus and equity opportunities.

Job Summary

The Area Vice President (AVP) of Operations is responsible for leading all operational and financial activities within a designated metropolitan market. This includes oversight of performance, growth, team development, customer relationships, and profitability. The AVP plays a strategic leadership role, ensuring alignment with company goals while upholding Classic Collision’s standards for operational excellence, service quality, and industry leadership.

This role requires a strong business acumen, proven leadership, and a deep understanding of collision repair operations to maintain Classic Collision’s position as a best-in-class employer and service provider.

Key Responsibilities - (Other duties may be assigned as needed)

• Drive overall Area performance through Area Directors, focusing on KPIs, quality standards, staff development, and operational culture.

• Serve as program lead for the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) program.

• Stay current on vehicle repair technologies, processes, and compliance trends.

• Ensure compliance with monthly shop quality assurance (QA) audits.

• Oversee maintenance of all shop equipment to ensure functionality and safety.

• Set and communicate expectations related to revenue, performance, training, and retention.

• Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing operational leaders.

• Maintain and strengthen key DRP relationships, ensuring effective communication and consistent feedback to Area Directors and General Managers.

• Ensure adherence to operational protocols through consistent execution of the company’s Recipe Book.

• Support Area Directors in staff development and resolution of escalated customer concerns.

• Act as a liaison between leadership and operations teams to ensure integration, alignment, and success across organizational goals.

• Participate in external marketing, customer engagement, and team-building initiatives as needed.

• Review and analyze weekly/monthly performance data and conduct regular operations reviews with direct reports.

• Conduct scheduled business reviews with key DRP partners.

Standard Work Cadence

Daily

• Support GM’s and RD’s with daily sales targets; balance WIP across the region.

• Verify CCC Calendar accuracy and reschedule any missed appointments.

• Perform Quality Checks (QC) on 3 vehicles in various stages using repair plans (review RO’s older than 10 days).

• Problem-solve speed, quality, cost, and customer service issues with teams.

Three Times Weekly

• Participate in admin and production meetings.

• Audit 1 estimate in full detail with key DRP requirements.

• Take corrective action from call-back reports.

• Lead CSI improvement activities: call plans, observe communication, and ensure documentation.

Weekly

• Conduct Regional Director (RD) huddle (30 min) to review sales, WIP, KPIs.

• Perform DRP performance review.

• Conduct payroll review: check flags, overallocated labor, YUGO, guarantees.

• Audit GMG safety follow-up items.

Monthly

• Conduct financial review of assigned region.

• Maintain and grow dealer relations.

• Identify LMS and training opportunities for Area Directors/teams.

• Ensure Standard Work tasks are fully completed and documented.

• Review and update B2A Tab.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in collision repair or auto body operations management.

• Proven ability to lead teams, analyze business operations, and drive financial results.

• Experience in talent development, retention, and performance management.

• Proficiency in CCC One and management systems; advanced Microsoft Office skills.

• Strong communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills.

• Valid driver’s license; frequent travel required.
