Job description

Summary:

The Vice President of Facilities Management provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of global facilities, including maintenance, capital projects, safety, security, and sustainability. This role ensures all facilities are efficient, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Serving as the single point of accountability, the VP directs the centralized management of all facilities operations worldwide. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in facilities management and operational excellence and will lead a diverse team to uphold the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and performance.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Facilities Management strategy to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and align with business objectives 
  • Lead the development and implementation of a centralized facilities management model, including technology, budgets, and systems
  • Find and establish opportunities for consolidation and standardization of facilities services, processes, operations and procedures across venues
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of individuals located across multiple regions and venues
  • Own the budgeting, forecasting, and financial management of all Facilities-related expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and adherence to budgetary constraints.  Expand scope to be responsible for the centralization and standardization of budgeting, forecasting and financial management for each facility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security, Operations, Hospitality, People Team, Product and Technology to support the company's overall business objectives 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize facility performance, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce environmental impact 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality service delivery and cost competitiveness. Standardize service where possible, (i.e. elevators, escalators, HVAC, etc.) across facilities
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards governing facility operations and safety 
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership on key performance metrics, projects, and initiatives within the Facilities Management function 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies (most notably the integration of AI), and standard methodologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement 

Experience:

 

  • 15+ years in Facilities Management, 8-10 years in senior leadership, leading facilities operations, budgets, teams 
  • Experience in facilities management in retail, entertainment, or related industry
  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction practices, sustainability principles, and regulatory requirements 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and social skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization 
  • Shown ability to inspire change, implement process improvements, and cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous learning 
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field, Masters preferred
  • Professional certifications such as IFMA’s CFM, FMP, or BOMA’s RPA.

The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $220,000 to $280,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
