Position Summary

As Vice President, you will serve as a key executive leader with oversight of our Bartow operations. This role blends strategic vision, business development, and operational leadership. Youโ€™ll be responsible for driving growth, profitability, and excellence across engineering, field, drilling, and laboratory services, while strengthening client relationships and advancing Madridโ€™s reputation as a trusted partner in Florida.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership for Bartow operations, ensuring alignment with Madridโ€™s overall strategy and values.

  • Serve as a primary client-facing leader, cultivating long-term relationships with owners, contractors, developers, and industry partners.

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to grow revenue and expand service offerings.

  • Oversee financial performance, including P&L responsibility, budgets, and forecasting.

  • Ensure quality and safety standards are consistently met across all disciplines.

  • Mentor and develop senior managers and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.

  • Represent Madrid in professional and community organizations, enhancing our presence and influence in the industry.

  • Partner with the executive team to drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and organizational growth.

ย Qualifications
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) in Florida, or eligible through reciprocity within six months.

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, or related fields.

  • Demonstrated success in business development, with established relationships across Floridaโ€™s construction and engineering sectors.

  • Strong record of executive leadership with P&L responsibility.

  • In-depth knowledge of Florida Building Codes, FDOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and other regulatory frameworks.
