Our culture is grounded in five core values: Win Together, Innovate Boldly, Drive Results, Customer Centric, and Guide with Care. These are not just principles; they shape how we make decisions, partner with customers, and show up for each other.

At Odyssey, you are not just part of a company; you are part of building what comes next.

The Role:

Work Model: Remote

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours (average 40 hrs/week, with overtime as required)

Travel Requirements: Yes, approximately 25%

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Summary / Primary Role:

Own new-logo growth for Odyssey's Enterprise 4PL and Multimodal Freight Management business across North America. As a trusted advisor to enterprise-level clients, you'll identify, develop, and close complex, consultative sales opportunities across diverse industries — leveraging deep logistics expertise to consistently deliver against net revenue targets.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll thrive here if you love the hunt — building consultative solutions for complex, matrixed organizations and turning new logos into long-term partnerships.

  • New Business Development
    • Achieve assigned net revenue goals through profitable new logo acquisition of Enterprise 4PL and Multimodal Freight Management clients across North America.
    • Design and implement a targeted hunter sales strategy that drives new Enterprise 4PL and Multimodal Freight Management partnerships, building a robust and qualified pipeline that maximizes cross-sell opportunities across Odyssey’s full range of services.
  • Consultative Selling & Solution Design
    • Lead consultative sales projects to engage prospective clients, including network optimization studies, procurement sourcing events, and other value-based initiatives.
    • Clearly articulate Odyssey's value proposition, differentiating its capabilities in Enterprise 4PL, Multimodal Freight Management, cost optimization, technology, and supply chain visibility.
  • Relationship & Cross-Functional Partnership
    • Cultivate strong relationships with economic buyers and executive stakeholders across complex buying committees within enterprise-level organizations throughout North America.
    • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership to create competitive offers, manage contracting, and drive executive engagement to close new client logos.
  • Lead the full sales process from initial outreach through solution development, proposal delivery, contract negotiation, and close.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date sales activity, forecasts, and opportunity status in Salesforce CRM.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and ownership in progressing opportunities and resolving client issues to drive outcomes.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of proven success selling Enterprise 4PL/Managed Transportation and Multimodal Freight Management solutions to enterprise accounts across North America
  • 5+ years of experience across multi-modal transportation (TL, LTL, Partial Truckload, Tank Truck, Expedited) and leveraging Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to drive operational and cost efficiencies through BPO
  • Strong "Hunter" mentality with a consistent record of exceeding new business sales targets in consultative, solution-based selling environments; adept at developing innovative, client-specific 4PL and Multimodal Freight Management strategies
  • Skilled in preparing financial models and ROI-based proposals, experience leading or collaborating on complex contract negotiations (including legal and procurement stakeholders), and proficient in Salesforce, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills, comfortable presenting to and building trust with C-suite audiences
  • Demonstrated expertise selling complex logistics solutions within large, matrixed organizations; comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments

Bonus Eligible: No

No relocation allowance will be considered unless specifically addressed. All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

We offer a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

  • A choice of medical plans with FSA and HSA options
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Company-paid Life and Disability Insurance
  • 401(k) Plan with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Company Holidays
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Company Health & Wellness Program
  • Discounts with Preferred Vendors

At Odyssey, we believe the best ideas come from people with different skills, experiences, and perspectives.
