Job Description

SOSi is seeking a Vice President (VP) for Innovative Acquisitions to lead the company's efforts to secure new business through nontraditional pathways, including other transaction authorities (OTA). This position enables the company's growth objectives by identifying, qualifying, capturing, and winning new business in the defense, federal civilian, and intelligence community markets. This position reports to the company's Chief Growth Officer (CGO).

Essential Job Duties

  • Working closely with the company's CGO, its Business Unit (BU) leaders, and functional staff:
    • Lead a cross-functional team that identifies, shapes, pursues, and wins new business through nontraditional means.
    • Identify and deploy offerings that provide SOSi differentiation from its competitors.
    • Develop and maintain customer relationships related to new business opportunities.
    • Support proposal activities.
    • Recommend pricing and price-to-win strategies.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of SOSi's product and service offerings and be able to represent their benefits to customers.
  • Maximize cross-selling opportunities among SOSi's BUs, especially those related to open-source intelligence (OSINT), artificial intelligence (AI) / machine learning (ML), and data science.
  • Support development and revision of account plans on an annual basis.
  • Participate in corporate trade shows and industry events.
  • Develop network of key partners to optimize win probabilities.
Qualifications
  • Active in Scope Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
  • Master's Degree in business administration, STEM, national security or related fields.
  • 20+ years' federal acquisition experience involving complex procurements.
  • Must possess the ability to work across organizational boundaries and jurisdictions, leading customer meetings and cross-functional teams in development of customer solutions.
  • Exceptionally demonstrated verbal communication, presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Shipley training is desired.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Foreign language skills are a plus.
