Headquartered in Novi, Michigan, Vibe Credit Union has proudly served its members for generations and has grown into a thriving financial cooperative with more than $1.5B in assets and more than 250 dedicated employees. Known for its collaborative culture, commitment to innovation, and exceptional member experience, Vibe continues to invest in technology, people, and processes that position the organization for long-term success.

At Vibe, we are guided by our mission to elevate community and create opportunity. We believe in fostering an environment of inclusivity where every team member has the chance to grow professionally. Guided by our core values, we are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of our members and communities.

  • Be Inclusive
  • Educate

As Vibe continues to grow and expand our team, we are seeking passionate individuals who share Vibe’s vision and are eager to join in our journey.

Located in the heart of Oakland County, Novi offers the best of both worlds - an energetic business community, outstanding schools, vibrant dining and entertainment, and convenient access to Detroit, Ann Arbor, and countless outdoor recreation opportunities. This is an opportunity to build your career with a progressive credit union while enjoying one of Michigan's premier communities.

Can You See Around Corners?

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President of Risk serves as a strategic leader responsible for strengthening Vibe Credit Union's enterprise-wide risk framework. Partnering closely with executive leadership and business units, this leader will oversee enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, business continuity, vendor management, and operational resilience while supporting the credit union's strategic objectives.

This role extends well beyond regulatory oversight. The VP of Risk will collaborate across the organization to develop practical risk solutions that enable innovation, strengthen governance, and embed sound decision-making throughout the organization.

At Vibe Credit Union, risk management is about more than compliance - it's about protecting the trust members place in the organization while helping the credit union grow responsibly and confidently. The successful candidate will balance prudent risk management with strategic business partnership to support Vibe's continued success.

Can We Grow Together?

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with 5–10 years of progressive risk management experience within a financial institution, including expertise in enterprise risk management, compliance, governance, and operational risk. Candidates should possess a strong working knowledge of NCUA regulations and federal and state laws governing credit unions, along with at least five years of leadership experience. Credit union experience is strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Law, or a related field is required, while a Juris Doctor (J.D.) or other advanced degree is preferred.

Beyond technical expertise, this leader will build trusted relationships across the organization, communicate effectively, and bring sound judgment to complex business decisions. They understand that great risk management doesn't slow an organization down - it helps it move forward with confidence.

As Vibe Credit Union continues to grow, the Vice President of Risk Management will play a key role in strengthening governance, supporting strategic initiatives, and helping the organization serve its members with confidence for years to come.
