A fast-growing boutique life insurance platform is seeking a President. The President will set the vision, shape the strategy and inspire a high-performing team to achieve more than they thought possible. This dynamic executive will lead the company’s next phase of growth, driving new product development, expanding distribution and pursuing strategic acquisitions while ensuring operational excellence across the business. Partnering closely with the Board, the President will have the authority and support to build, scale and evolve the organization, from strengthening the leadership team to integrating new capabilities and businesses. Externally, the President will serve as the face of the organization, engaging with sophisticated clients, advisors and partners with credibility and confidence. Internally, this executive will champion a culture of ambition, accountability and pride in excellence, creating an environment where both the business and its people can thrive. This is a retained search.
Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Growth Leadership: setting the company’s direction and driving long-term value creation, defining and executing the strategic plan, identifying growth opportunities, launching new products, and expanding into new markets.
  • Commercial Leadership and Market Engagement: serving as the external face of the organization, building and deepening relationships with distribution partners, institutional clients, and key stakeholders while elevating the firm’s market presence.
  • Leadership, Culture and Talent Development: building and leading a high-performing executive team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence, and investing in the growth and development of the tight-knit organization.
  • Operations and Performance Management: overseeing day-to-day business performance, ensuring alignment across functions, driving accountability to measurable goals, and enabling teams with the resources needed to succeed.
  • M&A, Integration and Board Partnership: Leading acquisition strategy and execution, integrating new businesses effectively, and maintaining a strong, transparent partnership with the Board on strategic decisions and performance.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in insurance, financial services or a closely adjacent field
  • Demonstrated track record of scaling an organization, including revenue growth, market expansion, new product development or completed acquisitions
  • Proven experience successfully launching and rolling out new products to market in a financial services or insurance context, including managing the full lifecycle from development through distribution
  • Proven experience integrating acquired businesses or newly added operations, including managing the people, cultural and operational dimensions of integration
  • Sufficient fluency in PPLI, high-net-worth insurance products, or alternative investment structures to credibly lead and represent the company externally
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performance teams in small-to-mid-size organizations
  • Track record of setting and achieving ambitious organizational goals and bringing teams along on that journey
  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree or relevant professional designations (preferred)
