Your Work Matters

The Vice President of Commercial serves as the top executive responsible for the Commercial function within the Pro & Commercial division. This role directs the sale of the organization's full suite of products and services across all channels within the business unit, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives.

The VP of Commercial develops and executes the long-range sales strategy, oversees forecasting for business unit sales volumes, and ensures delivery against revenue and growth targets.

As the senior-most sales leader for the business unit, the VP of Commercial has a critical impact on organizational success and is responsible for driving commercial performance, optimizing customer relationships, and ensuring sustainable growth.

You'll Be Successful With

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with at least 5 years in an executive-level role overseeing large-scale sales operations.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and profitability targets in a relevant industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement long-range sales strategies.
  • Experience managing multiple sales channels and complex customer relationships.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Your Day Consists Of

  • Developing and executing the long-term sales strategy for the business unit, aligning with corporate objectives.
  • Establishing sales forecasts and performance targets to achieve revenue, margin, and growth goals.
  • Leading transformation and change initiatives to enhance commercial effectiveness and competitiveness.
  • Directing sales activities across all channels, including direct, distribution, digital, and partner.
  • Overseeing sales operations, pipeline management, pricing strategies, and account management practices.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategy and maintain competitive positioning.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing sales leadership team.
  • Fostering a culture of accountability, results orientation, and customer focus.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, finance, and, where applicable, marketing to deliver an integrated commercial strategy.
  • Providing executive oversight of the field service function to ensure customer satisfaction, service quality, and customer retention.
  • Serving as the primary commercial executive representing the business unit with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team, contributing to overall business unit strategy and decision-making.

Working Conditions (travel & environment)

  • Frequent travel required including air and car travel
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work - Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
