Role Summary
The CTO will define, lead, and scale DECA’s technology vision. This is a hands-on executive leadership role responsible for infrastructure strategy, product engineering alignment, security standards, and scaling a world-class technical organization. The CTO will partner with executive peers and cross-functional teams to ensure that DECA’s technology stack is scalable, compliant, and aligned with our mission.

Key Responsibilities
Technology Leadership

  1. Define and drive the long-term technology vision, roadmap, and architectural standards.
  2. Oversee infrastructure, product engineering, DevOps, QA, and compliance readiness.

Team Building & Culture

  1. Build and lead a high-performing technical team, including DevOps, QA, and full stack developers.
  2. Champion a culture of security, testing discipline, automation, and engineering excellence.

Systems & Infrastructure

  1. Own the design and evolution of DECA’s platform architecture and cloud infrastructure (GCP).
  2. Ensure high availability, reliability, and audit-ready compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001).

Executive Collaboration

  1. Partner with Product, Operations, and Compliance leaders to align technical solutions with client impact.
  2. Report directly to the CEO and advise on investment, risk, and vendor technology decisions.


Qualifications

  1. 10+ years in engineering or technology leadership, with prior experience as a CTO or VP Engineering.
  2. Proven experience scaling platforms from early-stage to growth (ideally in SaaS, fintech, or govtech).
  3. Deep understanding of DevOps practices, software development lifecycles, and audit frameworks.
  4. Expertise in cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), security operations, and data governance.
  5. Executive presence with strong communication skills for board-level reporting and strategic alignment.
