With ambitious growth goals over the next four to five years, WoodMac Supply Chain Consulting is an exciting place to continue one's career. One of the most important aspects of our team's success will be our expanded ability to build and maintain foundational relationships with our clients. This is a leadership role within our Supply Chain Consulting team that reports to the Senior Vice President.

This role will require you to forge and foster relationships with clients and comes with the important responsibilities of developing and executing strategies to meet and exceed our consulting revenue and profit goals. In your role as VP, you will be a key player in many facets of our business including execution and delivery by the Supply Chain Consulting team, business development, performance management, recruiting, staffing, and other associated administrative responsibilities. Under your leadership our projects teams will develop and deliver insights drawn from our unparalleled industry data and experience, increasing the likelihood that these new customer relationships will grow and even become the foundational clients of tomorrow. You will manage and work closely with a variety of project leads and will leverage their input and your observations to run the business effectively and formulate business development strategies.

Main Responsibilities

Drive growth of consulting revenue and EBITDA to meet or exceed annual goals

Report to Supply Chain Consulting SVP on strategies to deliver, and on progress towards, consulting revenue and EBITDA goals

Oversee multiple client relationships by effectively interfacing at all levels from the C-Suite to Supply Chain, Project Management, Engineering and Business Development teams

Collaborate with both colleagues and clients on the development of new solutions needed to meet client's objectives or otherwise facilitate the energy transition

Drive proposal development and partner with colleagues and other WoodMac stakeholders to close the deal

Steer members of the Supply Chain Consulting team and drive successful project execution

Lead professional and skills development efforts of consulting staff

Train and develop staff on the development, marketing, and sales of solutions

Run and administer the business with activities such as planning, recruiting, staffing, training, performance development, etc.

Regularly update finance on revenue recognition and profitability metrics

Qualifications

About You

Bachelor's degree required, post-graduate degree in relevant subject area is generally preferred

15+ years in a Consulting, Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering function; experience within the Power & Renewables and/or Oil & Gas sectors is preferred

Consulting-driven solution selling skills. Demonstrated track record of developing and successfully selling large, high-impact solutions that deliver measurable business results

Project delivery skills. Demonstrated ability leading large teams and managing consulting projects leveraging data and analytics to drive measurable business results

Change management skills. Demonstrated ability to drive transformational projects and systematically manage change in client organizations; ability to drive change in flat, cross-functional, or multi-disciplinary environments rather than through formal authority

Communication Skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal and written) with senior client representatives 1) to understand the needs and challenges of the organization and 2) to communicate how WoodMac's new or existing combined data and services solutions can uniquely address such needs and challenges. This leader must also possess the necessary interaction skills that may help them to gain adequate knowledge about the client organization's way of working

Problem Solving and Creativity; Collaboration with Others. WoodMac Supply Chain Consulting is generally hired to solve the client organization's complicated issues leveraging proprietary data assets. Thus, this leader must use effective problem-solving skills to provide insightful solutions and be able to collaborate with sales, data, product and services teams in developing, marketing and selling the solutions

Consulting Domain Expertise. Expertise in supply chain and related solutions with a demonstrated track record of innovation and client service

Exceptional analytical, problem solving, project/time management and managerial skills

Thought leadership. History of managing or executing deeply analytical and data-driven change programs; history of innovating in the use of analytical techniques to drive business change

Executive leadership. Demonstrated ability to maintain executive relationships over sustained periods

Management expertise. Demonstrated ability to manage high-performing teams with high morale

Strong technical writing, ability to write persuasive documents and construct high-impact storylines

Effective communication and interpersonal skills appropriate for a large spectrum of clientele

Passionate about active coaching and committed to improving productivity and opportunities for junior staff

Enthusiastic about contributing to and positively influencing our team culture through mentorship, teamwork, empowerment, etc.

Ability to adapt based on the needs of clients and WoodMac; focus on solutions, not problems

Strong interest in the energy sector and working with our clients to solve energy supply chain issues

Willingness and ability to travel 60- 80% of the time

The ideal candidate will work in close proximity of one our offices in which our Supply Chain Consulting group has a presence in (i.e. Houston, Calgary, Boston, or New York); however, remote working arrangements will be considered for this role

The nature of this role precludes it from consideration for part-time or flexible working arrangements

This position does not provide visa sponsorship

The salary range for this position is $250,000- $270,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term incentive compensation or commission. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
