Description
The VP, Systems & Reports Analyst is a resource for other departments of the Bank to assist them with utilizing the Bank's core systems and generating custom reports needed to fulfill their job responsibilities. This role also serves as a back to the Core Systems Manager to manage, maintain, and optimize the core banking systems to ensure smooth banking operations. This role assists with overseeing system configurations, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with IT teams to enhance the system's performance and security. Effective project management and communication skills are essential. The position requires formulating strategies and implementing processes that will streamline bank processes. This position requires that the individual work in office, independently, and with minimal supervision.
Ensures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists department heads throughout the bank with the following tasks, as needed:
  1. Identifying opportunities to add efficiencies to processes by better utilizing core systems
  2. Generating custom reports that will provide decision makers with the information they need
  3. Provide technical support to bank employees with their use of core systems
  4. Occasionally train bank employees on the use of core systems, as needed
  5. Any other assistance needed by bank departments with core systems
  • Translate requests from business units and technical teams, from across the organization, into actionable project plans by gathering requirements and planning resources
  • Create and maintain project documentation with a systematic approach
  • Assist and serve as the back up to the VP Core Systems Manager as follows:
  1. Configure and customize the core banking system to meet the organization's business requirements, regulatory needs and improve system user acceptance
  2. Liaison with the Bank's core vendor regarding opening new tickets for system changes, updates or validating system settings.
  3. Perform and document periodic audits to ensure the accuracy of user roles and ensure change management requirements are met.
  4. Communicate directly with the Bank's auditors and examiners to provide system validation testing and security controls.
  5. Work with external vendors and internal teams to integrate third-party applications and services with the core banking system.
  6. Provide resolutions to complex technical system issues
  7. Participate in core banking system upgrades, migrations, and new project implementation including thorough testing and validation.
  8. Ensure thorough testing of upgrades and new implementations using the Bank's various test environments
  9. Troubleshoots system issues that may impact clients and works to identify and resolve the issues.
  • Participate in Fiserv DNA training, Fiserv Community, and other opportunities to improve skills, keep abreast of best practices and changes to the platform and products
  • Minimum of 10 hours CRA volunteer hours per year. Volunteer hours are typically scheduled within business hours. This is compensable time and mileage is reimbursed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Relevant PM Certification or education (PMP or equivalent) preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of analyst experience with core banking systems
  • Bachelor's Degree or work experience equivalent with sufficient background in administering core banking systems and business management disciplines
  • Strong skillset with writing custom reports
  • Ability to effectively analyze unique issues/problems without precedent and/or structure and problem solve collaboratively
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of internal staff members and external professionals
  • Knowledge of system security protocols and industry best practices
  • Strong foundational knowledge of bank operations, core platform functions, proficiencies and integration
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project or other project management tools
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and work scheduled hours

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role currently has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment:
The incumbent in the course of performing this position frequently spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, operating basic business equipment, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, client contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions. The incumbent for this position will occasionally lift up to 15 pounds, pull, squat, kneel and reach. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. The work environment is typically quiet to a moderate noise level.
Travel: There will be occasional local, out-of-area, and overnight travel.
