VICE PRESIDENT, CLIENT PARTNERSHIPS

This is an individual contributor role focused on GSTV's Automotive category.

Summary:

GSTV is looking for VP, Client Partnerships candidates with a demonstrated history of building strategic solutions for client partners while scaling revenue growth in national advertising markets. Our sales team manages and grows key relationships with brands and agencies while driving constant focus on partner solutions and results. We win when our partners grow their businesses. The right candidates are comfortable in todayโ€™s constantly changing media landscape, and leverage data for insights, content for context and GSTVโ€™s growing scale into mobile, video, digital, DOOH solutions and more.

This role is dedicated to growing GSTV's business within the automotive advertising category. The ideal candidate brings deep relationships across automotive manufacturers, suppliers and the agencies that support them, along with a strong understanding of the unique marketing strategies, buying cycles and decision-makers that drive the automotive industry.

Our VP, Client Partnerships drive marketplace outreach to leading national advertisers, major holding company strategy and investment teams within key vertical categories and geographies. You will likewise work alongside peer leadership to leverage data and analytics, content, product, technology and endemic industry relationships for new revenue and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive aggressive revenue targets across multiple GSTV revenue opportunities.
  • Create solutions for customers leveraging in-depth understanding of the national advertising, digital video and data-driven audience targeting and attribution marketplace.
  • Manage and grow a defined territory against existing and new business goals.
  • Ensure frictionless communication between the marketing, product, sales planning and analytics teams.
  • Identify market opportunities leveraging GSTVโ€™s growing capabilities in new categories / platforms / verticals.
  • Cultivate relationships with partners, optimize their performance and identify additional business opportunities to expand partnership revenues.
  • Develop and expand strategic relationships across automotive OEMs, mobility brands and the agencies that support their media investments.
  • Leverage an established network within the automotive advertising ecosystem to identify new revenue opportunities and grow existing partnerships.
  • Serve as GSTV's category expert for automotive, collaborating with internal teams to develop solutions tailored to the needs of automotive marketers.
  • Represent GSTV at key automotive and advertising industry events to strengthen relationships and drive category growth.
  • Provide regular updates to key stakeholders including salesforce effectiveness, revenue forecasting, CRM tools and so on.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree from a leading U.S. or International University and/or equivalent years of experience required. 7+ years of media industry experience, 5 of which in a senior sales role.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing a client territory with current and new business relationships while consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Understand and drives solution selling โ€“ previous experience introducing new products to market and leveraging video, content, data, mobile and DOOH solutions also valuable.
  • Understands agency, advertiser, and publisher landscape, and experience building broad coalitions of influencers and decision-makers to drive revenue growth and client retention.
  • Have a well-established industry network as well as credibility as a solutions-based partner.
  • Ability to access and present with immediate credibility to senior agency teams, C-level brand executives and industry peers.
  • Proven ability to manage against clear and deliverable goals โ€“ demonstrates tenacity, commitment to deliver and be accountable for results.
  • Strong organizational / time management skills and be detailed oriented.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with key partners in sales planning, marketing and insights to scope and prioritize opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including delivering effective presentations.
  • Be a self-starter with a diligent work ethic and demonstrated flexibility.
  • Highest ethical standards consistent with the policies and values of the company.
  • Passion for, and deep understanding of digital media/video monetization products and trends, audience data and solutions-based approach.
  • Impressive ability to negotiate deals, think strategically, and understand complex client campaigns.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Existing, current relationships with decision-makers at automotive brands, automotive-focused agencies and major agency holding companies are required.
  • Demonstrated success selling media, digital or advertising solutions within the automotive category.
  • Deep understanding of the automotive advertising landscape, including OEMs, mobility brands, dealer marketing and the agencies that influence media investment.
  • Well-established network of automotive marketing and agency contacts with the ability to quickly generate new business opportunities.
  • Success individually driving productive, long-term sales relationships.
  • Exceptional business acumen and insightful understanding of industry trends & revenue drivers.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and an ability to organize, prioritize, and clarify deliverables.
  • Dynamic presence, stellar written and presentation skills, and excellent communication and influencing abilities across multiple levels.

  • Preferred experience includes working with major agency holding companies and leading automotive agencies, with established relationships across automotive clients and their media buying organizations.

Note: The expected salary range for this position is based on a combination of experience and qualifications for the position, as well as geographic location to align with local market.

The role will likely be based in the Detroit, MI market due to proximity to key automotive brands, agencies and industry partners; however, other locations may be considered for candidates with exceptional automotive industry relationships.

The pay range for this role is:120,000 - 125,000 USD per year(Detroit, MI)
