Cerrowire®, a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway company, is a leading U.S. copper wire supplier for residential, commercial and industrial applications. In addition to rugged and dependable, guaranteed products, including MC cables and aluminum wires, the Cerrowire focus is on customer service and delivering on time and in full from our wire manufacturing plants in Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, and Utah. We create our quality products in our new, state-of-the-art MC cable plant.
Major Responsibility Areas and Duties:
  • Work in partnership with the Cerrowire leadership team to set and deliver strategy and operating results.
  • Develop, coach and manage a Sales, Pricing and Sales Operations team with the goal of growing sales and margin and meeting or exceeding goals/objectives
  • Develop, coach and manage a Strategic Marketing, Branding, and Innovation team to develop marketing strategies that help differentiate the company's capabilities into competitive advantage and right to win
  • Develop plans and strategies for growing the business and achieving Cerrowire's sales goals
  • Create a positive and performance-driven culture, build a repeatable sales process to deliver results and coach all levels of the team
  • Responsible for leading the organization to be skilled in building, servicing, satisfying and maintaining customer relationships with current accounts and new potential customers
  • Develop overall sales and pricing plans and strategies for the business and achieving sales goals.
  • Designs, implements and manages sales forecasting, planning and budgeting processes. Establishes high level of quality, accuracy and process consistency in planning, forecasting and budgeting approaches used by the sales organization.
  • Establish and maintain a Key Performance Indicators matrix as a sales measurement tool of performance and comparison to prior months and years.
  • Develop and oversee the pricing strategy and process to ensure alignment with the company strategy and that the marketing and sales team are aligned with the structure and plan
  • Review independent rep performance every six months and facilitate change as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage customer project needs and expectations.
  • Connect personally with major key accounts - maintain business relationships with these accounts.
  • Identify new product/service opportunities.
  • Develop key account business development plans. Identify the needs of key accounts and develop a winning strategy.
  • Assist in the strategic planning, implementation and business planning for the business unit.

Skills/Abilities:
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management.
  • Work requires strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • A high level of business acumen with the ability to interface with operations, sales and marketing, engineering and administration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal tactfully with employees at all levels. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management, employees, vendors, and others
  • Curiosity and insight, development of a detailed understanding of our businesses, end-to-end value chains, markets, key customers, pricing, financials, etc.
  • Collaborative, partnership focused, solution-oriented approach in working with the team

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years in sales operations, business planning or sales support management within the wire & cable industry; experience driving collaboration between sales & marketing
  • Proven experience with P&L accountability and leading sales organization through growth and transformation strategies
  • Experience in the electrical industry, with experience with retailers, electrical distributors and manufacturing reps

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Able to hear ordinary conversations and phone communications
  • Ability to travel 15-20%
  • Ability to work on site in Hartselle, AL location
