Job description

One capital relationship, three ways to be useful. You will serve the same investor as a fund LP, a deal co-investor, and an acquisition counterparty.

About Us

EPL Group Advisory is an independent M&A and capital markets firm. We have advised on more than $900 million in transactions. We work with Seed and Series A+ scale-ups in B2B technology and manufacturing, and with independent sponsors, SPVs, and VC managers raising capital for their vehicles. Over half our deals are cross-border.

We take a small number of clients at a time so senior partners stay involved from signature to close.

EPL Group operates through Finalis Securities LLC, an SEC-registered broker-dealer and FINRA member.

Tasks

The Role

You will own capital relationships across both branches of the firm.

M&A Advisory: buyer and capital coverage on sell-side and buy-side mandates.

Investment Vehicles: capital formation for VC funds, independent sponsor deal equity, and SPV syndication.

You will cover institutional allocators, direct-investing family offices, and wealth intermediaries including RIAs and advisor networks. The wealth channel is early for us. You are hired to build it, not inherit it.

We have no proprietary fund to distribute. You are not wholesaling a shelf.

What You Will Do

  • Build senior relationships across allocators, family offices, and RIA and advisor networks
  • Run raises for funds, sponsor deals, and SPVs from positioning through close
  • Support M&A mandates with live buyer and capital intelligence
  • Formalize partnerships with RIA firms, broker-dealers, and advisor networks
  • Educate advisors and investors on private markets structures and economics
  • Source mandates into both branches
  • Partner with Finalis on compliance, onboarding, and Regulation D requirements
Requirements

What You Need

  • FINRA registration through a broker-dealer, or sponsorable within 120 days
  • 5+ years in capital formation, LP coverage, placement, or alternative investment distribution
  • Verifiable capital relationships you can activate on day one. Required, not preferred
  • Direct experience raising private markets vehicles
  • Command of fund and sponsor economics: carry, waterfalls, hurdles, promote, side letters
  • Fluency in Regulation D and accredited investor standards
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field

Preferred: transferable RIA book, prior platform or approved-list experience, buy-side M&A exposure, cross-border experience, Spanish or Portuguese.

Who You Are

A principal, not a passenger. You are comfortable alone in the room with a CIO or an investment committee. You are an educator before you are a salesperson. You say early when a mandate is not fundable. You want a small firm where your contribution is visible, and you accept there is no platform to hide behind.

Benefits

Partner-level exposure, ownership of the firm's capital relationships, attractive performance-driven variable compensation (revenue-sharing role only), cross-border reach, and the opportunity to build our wealth channel from scratch.

EPL Group Advisory is an equal opportunity employer.
