Vice President of Economic Development

Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) has named Patty Hart as the Vice President of Economic Development, effective April 16, 2026.

Responsibilities

As Vice President of Economic Development at GNTC, Hart will lead the implementation of all initiatives sponsored by the Technical College System of Georgia to enhance the economy of northwest Georgia. Responsibilities include providing support to the regionโ€™s community economic development enterprises and developing locallyโ€‘initiated economic development programs, providing customized employee training and continuing education programs throughout the collegeโ€™s nineโ€‘county service area, recruiting new industries and expanding existing businesses within GNTCโ€™s service area, serving as a local point of contact for Georgia Quick Start, and building and maintaining partnerships with area chambers of commerce, business leaders, local governments and community development leaders.
