Job description

Overview

GFA Federal Credit Union seeks an experienced EVP/Chief Financial Officer (EVP/CFO) to partner with senior leaders and sustain growth momentum while ensuring longโ€‘term stability and success. The EVP/CFO reports directly to the President/CEO and oversees accounting, finance, treasury, wire transfers, collections, and subsidiaries/CUSOs with a strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

โ€ข Lead and manage financial planning and analysis, compliance, financial and accounting reporting, treasury and liquidity management.
โ€ข Prepare and evaluate budgets and capital plans; oversee monthโ€‘toโ€‘month financial reporting to the Board and ALCO; serve as chair of certain committees.
โ€ข Implement the annual financial strategic plan; direct the budgeting process; conduct annual CPA external audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
โ€ข Provide expertise, guidance, and partnership across all facets of financial operations and drive innovative solutions within a highโ€‘performing organization.

Qualifications
  • A bachelorโ€™s degree (CPA, CMA or equivalent) required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum seven (7)+ years of progressively responsible experience in an executive capacity focused on accounting/finance within a financial institution or credit union with subsidiaries or CUSOs and consolidated assets >$500M.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain high detail and accuracy on reporting and develop innovative solutions.
