Critical Mass is hiring aSenior Vice President(SVP), PerformanceMedia,Investmentto join our growing team.As the SVP, PerformanceMedia,Investment, you willserve as the senior-most investment leader on a marquee Financial Services account. You willreport to agency C-suite leadership,set the overall investment vision,andown the client relationship at the executive level. You will beaccountable for the performance of a full-funnel media portfolio.You will also directly manage a VP of Media Investment and oversee a broader investment team, while serving as the connective tissue between client leadership, agency discipline leads, and Omnicom's group investment infrastructure.This is a highly visible, enterprise-level leadership role that requires equal parts strategic vision, marketplace authority, and executive
presence.
You will:
Own the senior client relationship for a complex, high-spend Financial Services account at the CMO, VP Marketing, and Head of Media level
Serve as the ultimate investment authority for the account - setting strategic direction, signing off on channel allocation, and ensuring all investment decisions ladder to client business outcomes
Lead executive-level quarterly and annual investment reviews, marketplace briefings, and strategic planning sessions
Anticipate client challenges before they surface, proactively bringing forward solutions, marketplace intelligence, and competitive insights
Drive organic growth byidentifyingand championing expanded investment opportunities across the client's portfolio
Execute full-funnel media investment across Paid Social, Programmatic Display & Video, Paid Search, CTV/OTT, Audio, and Emerging channels
Support Upfront and Scatter marketplace negotiations across Linear TV, Streaming, and Digital Video in close collaboration with the SVP
Stay ahead of marketplace trends, including Upfront/Newfront developments, audience buying shifts, and emerging ad tech, and bring forward implications for the client
Evaluate, build, andmaintainrelationships across the publishing, ad tech, and emerging media ecosystem
Ensure investment decisionscomply withfinancial services regulatory requirements and brand safety standards
Champion a performance-through-the-funnel investment approach, ensuring that every dollar - from awareness to acquisition - is tied to a measurable outcome
Partner closely with Marketing Science to develop the measurement agenda for the account, including media mix modeling, incrementality testing, attribution frameworks, and first-party data strategy
Drive the agency's 1PD and identity strategy with the client, including onboarding, activation, and compliance - particularly within the regulatory complexity of financial services
Partner with Analytics, Data Science, and Technology leads to build proprietary measurement capabilities that differentiate the agency's offering
Directly manage the VP of Media Investment, providing strategic direction, career development, and day-to-day leadership support
Oversee and be accountable for the performance of the broader investment team across levels
Build a team culture rooted in performance excellence, intellectual curiosity, and continuous development
Partner with Talent and HR to recruit,retain, and develop top investment talent
Represent the investment practice in agency-wide leadership forums and contribute to broader agency growth and new business efforts
Serve as a senior voice in new business pitches, bringing marketplace credibility and investmentexpertiseto prospective clients
Build andmaintainsenior-level relationships with key media partners, platforms, and publishers
Collaborate across Omnicom disciplines - Creative, Analytics, Technology, and Strategy - to deliver integrated, best-in-class work
You have:
15+ years of media investment experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership (VP or above) at a media agency or investment group
Provenexpertisemanaging enterprise-level media budgets ($100M+) across a complex, multi-channeland line of businessportfolio
Deep experience in performance marketing through the funnel - Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic - paired with strong command of brand-building channels
Significant experiencemanaging media for a Financial Services client (banking, insurance, wealth management, fintech, or credit cards) - understanding of FINRA, FDIC, and financial services compliance as it relates to media is strongly preferred
Extensive Upfront and Newfront negotiation experience, witha track recordof delivering value at scale
Executive-level communication and presentation skills - able to command a room with CMOs, CFOs, and agency C-suite alike
Deep fluency in the ad tech and data ecosystem - DSPs, CDPs, clean rooms, identity resolution, and first-party data activation
Strong analytical acumen, with the ability to synthesize complex data (MMM, attribution, platform reporting) into clear, confident investment recommendations
Track recordof building and scaling measurement capabilities in partnership with Analytics and Data Science teams
Experienced people leader with a demonstrated ability to develop VP-level talent and build high-performance teams
Executive presence and credibility - able torepresentthe agency at the highest levels of client and industry relationships
Collaborative and enterprise-minded - comfortable navigating the complexity of a large, matrixed holding company environment
A builder: energized by creating processes, capabilities, and cultures that scale beyond a single account
Experience with eMarketer,Media Radar, comScore, and other industry research tools.
Familiarity with Google advertising products, including YouTube and Google Ads
Deep understanding of the digital ecosystem and how channels work together to drive business outcomes
Thorough knowledge of trafficking and ad-serving technologies across display, video, mobile, OOH, and emerging channels
