Job description

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A PART-TIME/TEMPORARY POSITION
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Working knowledge of digital audio, video, and lighting consoles.
2. Working knowledge in basic networking IT systems for use within A/V setups.
3. Must be comfortable working on stages, motorized man lifts, ladders, work platforms and high catwalks.
4. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without restrictions.
5. Must be flexible regarding working nights, weekends, and holidays, indoors and outdoors, in all types of weather.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a part-time temporary assignment, however, the length of the temporary assignment will be determined based on project needs.
PAY:
$21.50/hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Setup, troubleshoot, operate, and document all audio, video, lighting, networking, rigging and electrical equipment to be used for event support.
2. Provide technical support for all events supported by the Berry Center Audio Visual staff.
3. Provide quality customer service to the public, district staff, promoters, and event clients.
4. Have a strong knowledge and understanding of all audio, video, lighting, networking, rigging and electrical equipment of the technical systems at the Berry Center and Pridgeon Stadium.
5. Support clients and assist with the successful operation of technology for all events the Berry Center staff support.
6. Perform all duties assigned by the Berry Center management team and/or CFISD administrative team.
7. Regular and reliable attendance.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control within high stress environments, repetitive hand motions, frequent sitting, standing, walking, lifting, climbing, moving, and carrying. Will be working on high platforms, catwalks, portable stages, spotlight towers and various scaffolding. Frequent prolonged or irregular hours from week to week including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Tools/Equipment Used:
Computers and other basic office machines, electronic scoreboard, sound systems, video systems, cameras, projection systems, lighting systems, electric batons/chain motors, truss, relay systems, 3-phase power distribution systems, safety control systems, fall protection items, high lifts, curtains, fly rail systems, routers, switches, RF systems, fiber systems, hand tools, multi-meter, scopes, laser distance meters, radios and communication equipment.
