What is a vibration analysis manager?

A Vibration Analysis Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing the monitoring, analysis, and interpretation of vibration data in industrial equipment. Their role is crucial in predictive maintenance, helping to identify mechanical faults before they lead to equipment failure. They lead a team of vibration analysts, develop maintenance strategies, and work closely with engineering and maintenance departments to ensure equipment reliability. The manager also ensures that vibration analysis standards and best practices are followed within the organization.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a vibration analysis manager?

To thrive as a Vibration Analysis Manager, you need expertise in mechanical engineering principles, vibration analysis techniques, and condition monitoring, often supported by a relevant engineering degree and certifications such as ISO Category II or III in vibration analysis.
