Job Description

As a Housekeeper at VI Resorts by Westgate, you will play a vital role in creating clean, welcoming spaces that make our guests feel right at home. From owner rooms to resort common areas, your attention to detail and friendly attitude will help bring the VI Resorts experience to life. As a Housekeeper, you will:

  • Remove debris, garbage, recycling, food waste, and dirty linens from guest rooms and common areas
  • Manage linens by changing, collecting, inventorying, and transporting them to and from the laundry facility
  • Clean all floors using appropriate tools, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and steam cleaning as directed
  • Dust and clean surfaces such as windows, mirrors, furniture, doors, and spot-clean blinds or curtains
  • Sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, tubs, sinks, showers, and floors
  • Clean kitchens by wiping surfaces, appliances, emptying refrigerators, and running dishwashers
  • Restock guest supplies following management standards
  • Return lost and found items as directed
  • Report maintenance needs, room changes, and any damaged or missing items promptly to supervisors
  • Verify and document kitchen and room inventory
  • Follow all safety procedures for chemicals and equipment use
  • Keep housekeeping storage areas clean and organized
  • Clean common areas including lobbies, hallways, game rooms, and laundry facilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience/training (1–3 months preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and quality
  • Effective time management skills to complete tasks efficiently and thoroughly
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and equipment
  • Good physical stamina, able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Strict adherence to safety and sanitation protocols
  • Friendly, professional, and respectful attitude toward guests and team members
  • Ability to regularly lift, pull, push, or move up to 35 pounds
  • Clear communication skills to convey basic information effectively
