What does your day look like at Partner?


The Triage Coordinator will perform initial assessments for incoming patients by obtaining vital signs, a brief history, and level of urgency. This position will communicate with both the client and medical team to facilitate the intake process. The Triage Coordinator will act as a liason by maintaining client communication with patient updates. Due to the nature of a busy emergency department, the Triage Coordinator will need to balance multiple cases at a time, regularly assessing patient and hospital status. Ongoing and fluid communication is critical to success in this role.ย

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in an emergency or critical care setting
  • LVT or experienced Veterinary Assistant preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of common emergent conditions such as urethral obstruction, hemoabdomen, congestive heart failure, HGE, etc. ย 
  • Exposure to, or knowledge of Fear-Free techniques and philosophies preferred
  • A curious and motivated energyย 
  • Interest in collaborating with the teams across the Partner networkย 

Physical Requirements:ย 

  • Ability to quickly process, analyze, and react to unplanned and emergent medical situations without delay, so as to ensure the safety of team members and patients
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours with limited breaks
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistanceย
