- Support hands-on laboratory and clinical instruction for Veterinary Technology students in areas aligned with the lecturer’s qualifications and professional experience.
- Supervise and assess students during laboratory, clinical, and experiential learning activities, with attention to student safety, animal welfare, professional conduct, and development of entry-level occupational skills.
- Assist with maintaining instructional laboratories and clinical teaching spaces, including compliance with applicable safety, sanitation, biosecurity, and animal care requirements.
- Participate in curriculum review, program assessment, student advising, recruitment, and other activities that support the continued development of USU’s veterinary education programs.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with veterinary practices, animal care organizations, and other community partners that may support student learning, clinical experiences, and employment opportunities.
- Participate in departmental, campus, and university service appropriate to the position.
- Contribute to the program’s accreditation efforts, including preparation for initial accreditation, documentation of compliance with accreditation standards, assessment of student outcomes, and the ongoing work required to maintain accreditation once achieved.
