Job description

The group you'll be a part of
In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry.
The impact you'll make
You will be part of the Product Option Architecture (POA) team, which serves as the organizational representation of Lam Research's current and future products and options offered to customers for sale. As a Program/Project Manager, you will operate at the forefront of this effort, from early definition of new product offerings through release. This will enable account teams to accurately configure solutions for sale and ensure the generation of buildable Bills of Materials (BOMs) that meet customer requirements.
What you'll do
As a Program/Project Manager, you will collaborate with Product Managers and senior Product Option Architects to develop configurable structures for both new and existing products. Your work will support the company's efforts to sell complex semiconductor capital equipment and systems. Working closely with engineers and modeling teams, you will help drive the introduction of new products, as well as the continuous improvement of existing product offerings. Your contributions will ensure the accuracy and reliability of the configuration tool used by the sales organization to place orders. This role supports Product Management Operations by enabling the implementation of Product Option Architecture across Lam's product portfolio.
  • Support the accuracy and maintenance of the sales configuration tool used to place orders.
  • Manage new product creation and maintenance in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
  • Facilitate weekly program meetings focused on POA product/option releases.
  • Drive milestone readiness for each POA release cycle (scheduling dates, testing gates, publishing) to ensure cross-functional deliverables are completed on time.
  • Manage POA release impact assessments (e.g., implications to existing quotes/orders).
  • Maintain and publish Visual POA documentation (e.g., POA database, Visio/blacklines).
  • Conduct sales-side cycle testing to validate configuration behavior, rule logic, and release readiness prior to production publication.
  • Initiate and participate in continuous improvement projects (CIP) to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Provide training support for new business partners on the POA process, roles, and responsibilities.

Who we're looking for
  • BS/BA equivalent or higher in an engineering discipline is preferred, with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with the Product Option Architecture configuration process.
  • Problem-solving, critical thinking, and project management skills; ability to analyze data to support decision-making both within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional matrix with technical and non-technical managers and individual contributors.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Outlook, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

Preferred qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will have SAP ECC knowledge, specifically in SAP VC (Variant Configurator).
  • Knowledge of semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with SAP CRM and Siemens Teamcenter.
