Veterinary Recruiters may use job boards, networking, and direct outreach to attract top talent. Job description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their small animal practice. This well-established clinic has been serving the community since the early 1960s and is committed to providing high-quality care for dogs and cats. The hospital is open to veterinarians bringing their own clinical interests to complement the existing offerings.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, with Sundays closed. This is a full-time position with a four or five-day work week and alternating Saturdays, totaling approximately 36 hours per week. Each doctor has a designated surgery day, focused solely on surgical procedures, typically lasting around six hours. There are no after-hours, emergency duties, boarding, grooming, or retail responsibilities. Two part-time positions would be considered in place of full-time.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide general medicine and surgical care with opportunities to participate in advanced and orthopedic surgery. The role includes wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, dentistry, and client education. The position is open to new graduates, though some experience is preferred. The hospital encourages veterinarians to bring in new clinical practices, such as eastern medicine, to further expand services.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and IDEXX in-house labs. It is currently transitioning to paperless records and AI-assisted transcription. Located near the Ohio State University veterinary school and close to a regional specialty hospital, the clinic benefits from proximity to strong professional networks and referral support.

Team
The team includes four DVMs, two RVTs, five assistants, two receptionists, and one practice manager who also serves as a veterinary assistant. The practice maintains a 1.5-2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment with an emphasis on professional development and high-quality patient care.
