A leading animal welfare organization is seeking a motivated and experienced Veterinary Medical Director for a high-impact leadership role. Veterinary Medical Director Requirements & Qualifications

  • DVM or VMD degree required
  • Current, or eligibility for, a Pennsylvania veterinary license
  • DEA license and USDA APHIS accreditation or the ability to obtain them
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical veterinary experience, with at least 2 years in shelter medicine or high-quality/high-volume spay-neuter surgery
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a veterinary setting

Veterinary Medical Director Preferred Background & Skills

  • Experience mentoring veterinarians, technicians, or students
  • Familiarity with digital radiography, modern surgical suites, and in-house labs
  • Experience with animal welfare or community outreach programs
